You have to accept the new normal.

My wife (no pics) worked in a managerial role at a Victoria’s Secret some years ago. She was told by the higher-ups that when hiring, she should recruit the most beautiful girls she could find, women who looked like they’d wear the product. Employees were expected to work in full make-up and look the part. Things sure have changed, from the sound of things...

As a thin woman, I too am perplexed by what’s happening there as well.

They changed their marketing message. Instead of marketing to horny old fricks like you, they're actually marketing to normal women. It's working well for them. Get over it.

I canceled my AMEX because they white-shamed their employees. But there are not many like me. If you’re bitching about woke culture, and you still have an AMEX, you are the problem.
My letter:
To whom it concerns,
We are longtime AMEX platinum cardholders, and we are canceling all business with AMEX over your disgraceful racial treatment of your employees. Disgusting behavior!
We believe that all people should be treated equally without regard to race. Further, no one has “original sin” due to their race. Individuals, not races, commit atrocities. These values of ours, which are those of Abraham Lincoln and Martin Luther King, place us at odds with AMEX’ culture, and we won’t associate with you further.
Good riddance,

Do you buy bras and panties? If not, they don't give two flying Fuchs about you.

But why does the average woman get their feelings hurt by a good looking VS model?
Yeah, your husband is looking at your catalog bc there’s no way you look like that, but he’s no model either

None of it matters to me, but I imagine some marketing wonk somewhere has data about the target demographic shying away from the product because they didn't feel like it was "for them".

Their first quarterly release since spinning off as its own publicly traded company was poor. Their revenues are still below pre-pandemic levels.
I'm not a "Get work Go broke" guy, but I don't think sticking fat people on your window is particularly sound marketing.

What would you guess the average woman who buys those products looks like?
And I doubt the average chick that shops at Victoria's secret is 2 bills.

Considering women of all sorts but these products, that's a pretty stupid instruction from upper management.

I actually walked in a mall today for the first time in years. I didn’t see anyone who could remotely be confused for a supermodel.

In the south, you're probably right.
More like 2 and change.
