I’ve mentioned this before, but I won like $500 + owners suite tickets to their Independence Bowl and they couldn’t have been more grateful, proud, humble, etc. of their success. Totally changed my view of Walkons.

It was 15 years ago. They did the opposite of most growing companies and actually improved as they grew. There’s nothing gross or unusual about what they serve now.
It’s been 15 years since I’ve eaten there so I won’t argue this

Sammy's, Mike Anderson, D'Angelos all came to Central and then closed.
Sammy's and D'Angelos all went to hell - wasn't Central specific. That kind of sucked because I liked both of them in their high water mark in the mid 2000's. D'Angelos kind of lost their way an closed down. Sammy's sold out I think.
I seem to recall Mike Andersons closing down a handful of stores too. Their Chargrilled oysters are pretty solid and the Guitreau that's on their dinner menu also good, but I don't know if those made it to the menu in their suburban locations. I tend to forget that Mike Anderson's exists. Going to try it again now because of this thread.

I have been to the one in Prairieville near Rouses. The last meal I had was awful....catfish acadiana or atchafalaya. absolute garbage. but what do you expect nowadays. You go one week its decent next week cooks quit and the new crew can't cook...basically I have quit going to restaurants. they mostly all suck now

Can they fix the one in Town Centre first?
The clientele is ruining that one from what I’ve heard. It’s close to the Jefferson/Lobdell exchange. That location unfortunately gets a ton of NBR people who use Lobdell to eat at that location and cause problems with the Walkons management.

Is that part of the new micro-targeting area by BR police?

I’m surprised at how much Walk-Ons has grown. They have locations in 15 states and one on the Las Vegas strip (in Harrah’s).

The location at Town Center is so close to my house, yet I never go because it’s so dirty and stinks. They have had a sewer leak for years and don’t fix it so it smells like raw sewage

The sharks got a hold of it a few years back and pumped a shite ton of money into it
