Ill never understand the hate for this place. The food is good. Its not amazing. Its a fun atmosphere and good food with hot staff.

Local LSU guy starts it from nothing and takes it nationwide. Awesome for him.

Cheers Brandon.....

People criticize that place, but I think they have the best steak I've ever had outside of a Ruth's Chris.

They also tend to have ample parking, which is something I can't say about fancier places.

i'll never understand being expected to accept bad food and service just because "he's one of us".

went to the one in Towne Center about 2 weeks ago.
Definitely not going back there. The waitresses looked like what i would expect to see at the strip club off hwy 30 in gonzales, possibly worst, and as expected, the service was terrible.
I"m pretty sure i would have failed a drug test after sitting in there for 45 minutes. Nothing like the disgusting smell of weed in the air while you eat.
$90 later for 2 adults and 2 kids to eat, only 1 beer included in that, i regretted my decision to eat there, and won't be back.

the buffalo chicken sandwich is still a great sandwich though.

They are franchising. They don’t own all of those.

There would be no need for him to be in Atlanta while building a store he doesn’t even own.

I mean he can go, but why? Is he hanging dry wall?

The problem with an Applebees in br is you will stumble upon customers beating the shite out of employees.

It’s Baton Rouge, it only has culture.

The ribeye sammich is $22.50 down here. I went once to watch an LSU game, have a few beverages, apps, and a sammich. I was met after a five-minute wait at the door, by a little wide body. I was told there would be at least a 2 hour wait for bar seats, and more for a table.

I ran through Publix, got some wings and strips and watched the game at home. Maybe they won't be so busy when Brandon hammers err'one, and I will go back.

LOL did you go right at kick off?

These people never cease to amaze. I’ll get to the bar an hour early to get a seat and inevitably a group of people will come in 5 minutes after kickoff want to sit at the bar and be absolutely ASTOUNDED there are no seats.

“Why is it so busy?”

Well, you’re here for a reason…so is everyone else.

Probably focus on building up the Smalls brand.

I like WO's. Had smalls twice since they've opened in Thib, and I don't feel like I'm missing anything by not going back

Give it one more try and get the "Biggie Smalls"...it's double meat and changes the meat to bread ratio. It's a game changer.

Will never eat there since they took that baws franchise away for simply putting bad people on blast.

Ive bitched plenty about parking but I've never praised a restaurant for its ample parking

Seriously though I lived a stones throw from a brand new Applebees for a few years. I would grab a beer and grub from time to time and it wasnt bad at all.

The last corporate store was the Houma location. After that franchising became the name of the game

As for Cane's, you have to ask for everything well-done these days to get a good box, IMO.

Walk-Ons actually has some pretty good food and they're consistant. Their classic hamburger and shrimp poboys are very good. Some of the best around, imo.

They're getting good bread, which is key.
