Once she did, she reminded them they didn’t pay - after which they grabbed her wrist, pulled her into the water, and sped off, she said. The clip does not show this as they were too far away, but after about ten minutes, a sopping wet Bertels is seen slowly walking back to safety.
They pulled “the single mother of one” into the water and it took 10 minutes to get out?

I’m betting the next info released by police is the group yelled, “This is MAGA country,” as they sped away.

If they really did gang up on her, she's lucky she didn't drown.
Bastards need to be charged with attempted murder.

Doesn’t sound like they ganged up on her, article said looking for one suspect

If the diners were the usual suspects, posters would be singing a different tune.
This is true, and there have been a few posts leaning in that direction. I understand that there are stereotypes for a reason, but come on.

Quite the opposite, really...

I don't get it, half the thread rails on her bc she's a single mother with purple hair

Nope, focused on how the media describes her, not on her specifically.

Maybe, but stating this as a fact is pretty ridiculous. Do you know her or something?

I still call them bastards.

I read somewhere that their food was taking forever and they got fed up and left. If that’s the case, it’s not as bad as it appears, but still pretty bad.

They dragged her behind a boat and tried to drown her.
There's no quantifying this.

All I keep imagining is how close was the waitress to the prop as the boat drove off. Sounds dangerous af for a variety of reasons.
