I’d love to make a drunken meal at Waffle House. I’d make some insanely good hashbrowns

This. Bacon first, hashbrowns in the grease, toss the chopped bacon back in with some cheese. Waffle, Grits, Toast, and a fat fried egg or three to top it all off.

This guy is acting like some kind of elitist college boy saying Waffle House wouldn't be a badass job

If I was feeling as good as this guy apparently was, I'd say "Come on in, chief. What's it gonna be?" Crank the jukebox and do some griddlin.

If you want to be a chef that's fine but I would think you'd have higher aspirations than Waffle House. At least try to cook at a good place like Applebee's or Chili's.

I used to work with a guy who supervised electrical engineers.
His dream job, no joke, was to be a WH cook.

My dream is to open a diner and call it Mel’s Diner.
I can have a waitress named Flow, one Alice, and one Vera.
Then I could wear a white t-shirt and a little white hat and ring the dinner bell.

I was in Houston a few months ago and the Waffle House Corp people were there training people. You had some women that were ok looking wearing the official Waffle House dress.
Why can’t the female employees strive to wear that dress?

A golden opportunity to invent hash browns "stacked and packed" instead over covered and smothered. Layers of hash browns with cheese, ham, bacon, onions and mushrooms in between. That doesn't sound half bad actually.

It always is.

And I prefer scattered, covered, smothered and tossed around the kitchen.

And to be honest I could eat some Bert’s chili right now.

I would eat stacked and packed hash browns. Throw some peppers in there and call them stacked, packed, and jacked.

There is a talent to keeping all that shite straight.

I could learn it probably but I sure as hell couldn't stroll in and do it.

Ran into a similar situation at the waffle house in sorrento after an LSU game years ago.

Lights were on, doors unlocked, but not a soul in sight. Walked behind the counter to look for someone and no one was there. At 12 years old, i was not quite as cool as this guy, so we ended up just leaving.
