25000 yeah that's not baller status. If the kids line to do it, let em. Who cares. It's good life experience.

Do you pay your three year old nephew 15 dollars an hour? If not, I can see the problem. He needs to be earning a living wage.

There's a pecan grove in your trailer park?

Kids are very good at picking up sticks and pecans because they're are so low to the ground. Nothing wrong with you guys are doing.

Isn't it 100º + in Louisiana? Would you really want your 3 year old nephew running around in that?
If I didn't want him to grow up to be a huge pussy, yes.
Keep kids hydrated and they couldn't give two shits about the heat. They're kids.

At 3 or 4 I was cutting grass on the snapper. I think they still owe me some qwan.

It isn't pecan season right now. It's a few months away when it is cooler.

I can't wait until the thread about a federal agency raiding the "compound"
I'm always amused at the family property being referred to as the "compound". It's just normal land, a typical farm with pastures, cows, horses and trees.

Sorry to disappoint you but there are no trailers here. We all have houses, about half a mile apart, with a bayou, ponds, pastures, cows, horses, deer and the normal stuff that a farm/ranch has.
ETA: However, if you fall on hard times and need a place to move your trailer, we have 25 acres in the back that isn't being used for anything right now. You could hunt from your own porch during hunting season.

Those people are some of the most insufferable bitches alive. The breast milk mafia.

LOL! Hey, don't go trying to incite our workers into rebellion. They get paid pretty good considering they are playing half the time. They get perks like having stick fights and unlimited cupcakes from Mawmaw. They like to swagger about like they are total bosses pulling in the big bucks!
Uncle D also tosses Hershey miniatures onto the conveyor belt for us to find and there are prizes for the weirdest thing found on the conveyor belt. We have found shotgun shells, live snakes, mangled frogs, marbles and even a small turtle.
As a former city girl, I have always found it to be a very fun family activity and we cut up a lot while we get the job done.

Regular unpaid chores my 2 and/or 4 year olds do:
help unload dishwasher
put dirty dishes in sink
put dirty laundry in hamper
help fold clothes
help put away laundry
feed the dog
wipe off their table
try to sweep playroom floor
help bring in groceries
make beds
pick up toys
Occasional paid chores:
pull weeds
pick up dog poop
I have to redo 60-70% of these chores, but they LOVE having "work" to do.
