On another note, the Vietnam War series is running on LPB this week, caught the first one last night, very interesting and can't wait to see the rest of it.

My first thought as well but think about the time this happened. I'm sure people thought the same about all of the hippies back then. once they got dropped into the jungle I'm sure all of the liberal nonsense would disappear when they realized it's a fight for their life.

42. I would have been called. Had student deferment. When I graduated the draft had ended and we had pulled out.

I just watched a few youtube videos of the live tv broadcast of the draft lottery.

I felt sick thinking about having to watch that in real time as a draft eligible guy during the war.
