Investigators are searching for a man accused of holding a toddler as he and a woman trapped a man inside of an elevator at a French Quarter hotel and then robbed him, according to New Orleans police.

Surveillance video captured Joseph Davis, 54, seen holding the baby, and Lakisha Dooley, 34, inside of the elevator with the victim and his wife during the July 12 robbery at a hotel in the 600 block of St. Louis Street, police said.

Give the POS's 20+ years. But I bet they are out in six months after they are caught.

Davis' criminal history in Orleans Parish reaches back to at least 1991 and includes convictions for simple robbery and theft, including a 2007 theft case in which Dooley was also convicted.

What in the hell was that guy thinking taking an elevator in the quarter that time of day?

It's kind of hard to feel sorry for some of these victims.

Serious? So many who engage in these kinds of crimes are repeat offenders who have spent little time in jail

Serious question, would you punch the toddler to stop what's happening? I can't decide.

Are they going to charge the child as an accessory or will he be given a verbal warning by the NOPD?

Sad thing is there's a 90% chance that toddler is doing the same thing in about a decade.

I do not feel sorry for anyone who goes to the French Quarter, unless you are on a death wish

Don't judge. Do you know how hard it is to find a decent babysitter nowadays?

It took over a year between indictment and petrial conference for that simple of a charge? Ridiculous.

Give them free shelter, give them free food, give them free education, give them free cell phones, give them free health care. Give them free transportation. Give them subsidized utilities.

Give Give Give.

Give Give Give.

Anyone see a pattern here?
