Yeah, I do. Bama, Ole Miss, and Auburn are ranked higher than LSU in academic rankings now. Ever since the higher-ups at LSU made the boneheaded move to make admissions test-optional, that caused LSU to drop in academic rankings.
LSU is not the same university it was 15+ years ago

This is true. They started admitting almost anyone a decade ago when I worked there and it irritated me to no end. The Board of Regents has a certain number of exceptions they will allow LSU in he admissions arena and almost every single one of those exceptions was made with race being a major consideration. Pissed me off and was one of, though not the most significant, reasons I decided to leave.

I can’t imagine holding an audible conversation during a lecture, especially in some large classroom. The professor would have stopped talking and stared at the student and shame them into silence.
The biggest distractions when I was a student were the 1 or 2 people taking notes on a laptop and banging the keys or students who would put a portable recorder on the professor’s desk and have to flip the tape halfway through the lecture. But at least those folks sat in the front of class.
Just do the stupid Reveille crossword puzzle and keep your thoughts to yourself.

The sad thing is it reached a point where this chick was the one restoring order. She’s not the hero we need but she’s the hero we deserve.
