Dude?

This case happened at the Seaside Outlet Mall, also close to a Supercharger. At least this time, no one accused Tesla of causing it.

Ricky Criss decided to do donuts at the parking lot and went too far with that, making his old Ford Mustang engine catch fire.

90% of tesla owners don't give a frick if the electricity comes from fossil fuels.

Add that to the fact that teslas use that fossil fuel derived electricity in a more efficient manner than ICE.

What a dumb meme

What’s in the batteries?

What happens to the batteries at the end of their life?

Tell us more about Tesla and their environmentally-friendly lithium-ion batteries and the equally environmentally-friendly way their rare-earth elements are harvested.

who cares?

I’ve got a dozen friends and family that drive Tesla and not once has anyone brought up in a single conversation how the energy was derived to get to and from hanging out with us.

People think it’s some gotcha that tesla uses the earth’s resources to produce cars.

No one cares, but some people bring it up in every EV discussion like people give a shite. It’s weird.

So how do you flee a hurricane in a Tesla? Do you just ditch it at home and let nature claim it?

(Is that meme better?)

Not sure exactly what you're asking but undoubtedly the fire was caused by a massive energy dump during the prolonged cathode to diode transfer within the series of cells themselves.

Probably one cell melted and caused the others to ignite. He must have been doing doughnuts for awhile and probably ignored the heat sensor warnings he was being given because he was under the influence.

Imagine a phone catching fire, or hoverboard .... now multiply that Xs 300.

That's what caused the fire. That's the danger of LiFePo batteries when the dump is too massive and too sudden.

It's why we haven't developed pulse weapons yet. It's why laser weapons are limited in terms of how much power they can dump over a short period of time even with the use of modern supercapacitors.

Plenty of EV chargers around. Could even plug into a 110 outlet if you wanted to, but it will not give you much. I would imagine solar charging is not too far out. Plenty of time to try and knock new technology while driving the same old technology with terrible maintenance costs
