Vendome Place is a very nice street with huge houses on massive lots (relatively speaking for New Orleans). However, it is super close to some rough parts of town—Gert Town and the apartments that sit on the site of the former BW Cooper Projects. It just goes to show you, those private security dues they pay to live on Vendome only go so far.

I would think this is auto theft and not carjacking. Certainly not armed robbery.

Not sure about every insurance, but leaving your keys in the car, or it running, means the insurance won't cover the theft.

Implying that everyone who lives in Nola voted for the current administration is a very disingenuous statement. I told everyone I know in the city to show up on Election Day and vote for someone else, but only 75k people showed up at the polls. Apathy plus name recognition is the baseline mindset of Nola’s voter base. But that being said, not everyone falls into that category.

I did not, nor would I ever, vote for the vindictive, extraordinarily unprofessional clown in the mayor’s office. The fact that she got 67% of the vote last year ( albeit, only ~20% of eligible voters actually showed up at the polls) is as demoralizing as it was is pitiful.

I can leave my front door unlocked

And maybe she had a lapse in judgement? She’s 70 years old

Victim blaming is bad, victim blaming a 70 year old woman is worse. My mother is 72. If she’s taking care of one of her 8 grandkids, she may need to leave a car door open for a second in front of her own house.

This wasn’t some parking lot at WalMart, it’s in front of her home. Imagine living in such a shithole that your trying to justify a car theft during the day in front of your own home. That just reeks of New Orleans. Do the people that defend this ever get out of that city and see how life lives in the vast majority of the country?

Sure, I lock my doors. I don’t leave valuables out. That said, if I forget, I’m not going to assume my truck will be stolen.

The viewer says her daughter sleeps with the stuffed bunny every night. The woman’s father-in-law passed away in October and the child snuggles the bunny when she’s missing “Poppy.”

1 This isn't a carjacking.

2 the old MIL is clearly retarded. In a city filled with carjackings, break-ins and robberies, she leaves a car on the street running with the doors wide the frick open.

She deserves it. These whites need to get with the times, they not living in Mayberry. Who with half a brain would even do this even in someplace like 30A let alone nola. fn idiot.

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. Proves you're never too old to learn a lesson.
