Vidalia, LA doesn’t get enough hate on here.

Town is, comprehensively, an utter shithole, obviously. But the thing that makes it truly awful is how pompous and rude the people from there are. They act like they’re better than everybody else because (I guess) they’re across the River from Natchez. But people from Natchez aren’t like that. Vidalia is truly one of the worst places in the developed world.

Vidalia is the only place in the LA Delta that ain't a shithole, thank you kindly.
I've not found the people around Vidalia to be that bad.

Vidalia is in the Delta fool. Which makes it better than the rest of the state of Louisiana that's not in the Delta, and it's inhabitants better than the remaining mutant coonassss and pine tree meth people.

Vidalia has their own hydroelectric power plant. I think that’s cool. But their sonic is average.
Their Popeyes and McDonalds are good. Along with Hammer’s drive through daiquiris.
Makes the drive to North LA somewhat more bearable.

Vidalia is where I have to go for Pain Care for my chronic pancreatitis. The pain care Dr. owns the hospital inside the levee next to the river.
Side note: Before I was born Dad, as a civil engineer with the state, is responsible for the road through Vidalia being 4 laned.

(like I'd trust a Ferriday resident to steer me the right way through the back alleys of that area)

Ferriday has delicious Big Johns Burgers and Sonny’s Pizza, an average Sonic and a not the best KFC. FWIW.
ETA: I have yet to find a Sonic that is better than average.
