I went into the Marines out of hs where I was stationed at Camp Lejeune in 3/6. Got stupid and got married my last year. The wife complained I was gone all the time so I went to the Army hearing they were more "family oriented" and didnt deploy as much... this was May 2001. Then Sept came and it didnt matter, I was deployed again.

We kind of heard the story when we were doing the ride along but yeah things went from invasion to full-on insurgency really quick up there.
I fricking hate those three bridges surrounding old town Mosul. Not wide enough for vehicles. It was all dismount all the time. I'm sure you don't feel any sympathy for us legs though hahaha.

Yes. It happened to the unit we handed off to//I think it was 1st brigade of the 25th INF. Not sure what battalion was holding down Marez at the time. Our battalion was spread out in various COPs in Mosul during that ride along.

Same with me. My memory fades with each new day and it fricking sucks. Not suck to forget about certian things, but have a shitty memory recal with everything everyday. I can't concentrate worth a shite either.

I used to be like that, now recently I random have panic attacks. First time it happened while I was driving to work, thought I was havin a fkn heart attack or some shite. Scared the hell outta me. Now if I get that feeling coming on I gotta breathe deep ect and calm down thinking about something that relaxes me.
