Yeah I've been having that as well. Lots of sweating, heart racing and tingling in my body. It's when I'm stressed. I can do physical activity and don't have it. It adds on more stress wondering what it is. Med stuff is all good, but stress is down right terrible.

I'm not gonna lie, I go out of my way to hide the fact that I am military. Many of us are trained to blend in so that us and our family don't become targets of opportunity for radical extremists. I never wear the uniform outside of work and work functions, I keep my hair slightly out of regs but short enough not to get bitched at, and when I'm carded I always use my driver's license and never my military ID. The only time I admit to a stranger at a store or restaurant that I am military is when they directly ask me if I am or not.

I used to be like that, now recently I random have panic attacks. First time it happened while I was driving to work, thought I was havin a fkn heart attack or some shite. Scared the hell outta me. Now if I get that feeling coming on I gotta breathe deep ect and calm down thinking about something that relaxes me.
I know a couple of you drive under an overpass and look for an EFP or IED logged into those overpasses.

They were putting them in dog carcasses when I was over there. I still swerve when I see roadkill or a bag on the roadside just out in the middle of nowhere.

This always made me laugh. Too easy to spot 90% of military guys no matter how hard they try to blend in.

I once had a girl claim she could tell I was military from the way I walked.

Lol yeah I've been out for 2 years now. Still get a fade every two weeks - month, and beard trim.

I always appreciated the firefight after the IED set ambush.
Snipers and IED/EFP sucked without an engagement

I'm far from a motivator, but I don't think I could do long hair, I feel dirty if it gets fuzzy lol.
It took me awhile to go a month, but it got expensive now that a fade is more than $10/week.
I wish my wife could fade my hair, but that didn't happen while I was in and doubt it happens now. My hair/beard is one thing I'm picky about.

Funny thing is I used to get called a hippie in the army for a medium fade.

Our Scouts told me a story about how they caught a guy setting one along our convoy route one night. Took turns whipping that motherfkrs arse all night. The next morning they had to hose out the back of the Humvee from the blood. Funny part was after they beat his arse and interrogated him they took him out in town to drop him off, when he saw where he was he pushed his way back into the humvee and refused to get out. Kept saying no mister no mister.. they asked why? He hit his hand and said Kurdish kurdish. They laughed and threw his arse out and drove off. Apparently he was in the wrong hood and was about to get his arse killed by the ppl in that part of town

I get where you are coming from. When we first started doing free meals it was a shite show. Between the people who try to hustle something for free and the crappy group of vets that you are mentioning it was bad. I remember getting off of work that day and going to Outback because I did not feel like cooking and needed a drink. I walked in and could tell every employee was over it. I told the bartender who I was and we started talking shop about how bad the day had been and they were just giving away a blooming onion. Right on que a vet starts going off about how he should be getting steak and lobster at the top of his lungs. I go home and and read a general manager from another store's post on fb about how he was embarrassed to be a vet that day. That being said, businesses have weeded out the bad apples and figured out formulas that prevent those types from coming in. The past few years have been pretty smooth.
