Nothing makes me cringe more than hearing a family member of a veteran begging for a discount loudly.

Why shouldn't veterans get discounts? It's not like they come back home with some huge advantage in life because they did service. Most of them can't even effectively use their technical skills on resumes and let's not even talk about how they get fricked from most of their benefits and signing bonuses.
Indifferent to veterans getting special privileges. If you want to take advantage of offers that is fine, but I don’t do it. The amount of down votes shows that most civilians have no idea the bullshite Veterans have to deal with when they leave the service.

I've never witnessed this but I've also never worked in retail.
