she was bitching because she didn’t get a raise, so teachers pay us kind of at the center of all of this.

No. She was bitching because the SI got a raise when teachers haven't in ten years. And that was just scratching the surface of the issues with what was going on. I never heard her go in there and make it seem like she was without clothes or food because of teachers pay.

She was asking how he could justify that raise, yet nobody else gets one. What argument are you trying to make? What's the center of it is people abusing their power in a public forum

That cop did all of those teachers a huge favor. This would just be some regional YouTube video had it not escalated to cuffs.
Now this is national news. She got cuffed but not charged. They need to send that cop a few gift cards to stores of his choosing.

However, fellow board member Dupelchain says the deputy was acting on Fontana’s order.
“I can tell you before the meeting they had a conversation in the hall, like they do before every single meeting, and I am pretty sure that when he was told when he hits his gavel that someone needed to be removed and that he needed to remove the person,” said Duplechain.
So hitting his gavel was signal to remove someone?
She responded, “His gavel was signal for someone to walk in, ask the person to be removed.”
The video speaks to that theory. Fontana can be seen to raise his gavel and lower it as Ms. Hargrave continues to speak to Puyau.

To see the slight divide between the two is hilarious in a sense.
Speaking of divide, the common denominator in all this seems to be Fontana. Sounds like he has either deep pockets or deep roots or maybe both! I don't know him, but he sounds like a douche bag!!

The raise was based on a report that he was not paid on par with his peers, correct?

She was called on and was asking questions that directly applied to the topic.

he pulled her arm away when he tried to grab her, which is the natural reaction of 90% of people when anyone would try to grab them. She also was willingly leaving on her own.

Drove by the square on my way home ... big ole satellite truck parked and ready for the 3:45 rally I guess. Would post pic but I'm tech challenged -- if anyone wants it post your email and y'all can post it.

Watch this video. Then compare the two. He was also a teacher. He was just as, or more, aggressive than she was. He also actually approached them when talking. Where was the Marshall here? Why wasnt he cut off and removed?

One of the stories said that VP is the 6th ranked school district (or whatever) and his salary ranks 56th, or something like that.
If that is true, then I have less of a problem with his raise than I initially did when I first heard about the story.

No doubt he is underpaid, when comparing to the rest of the state. As are the teachers.
Thats not the major issue here though.

Video timeline of events. Watch these in order and it all makes sense why the school board voted in another person instead of appointing a family member (as his last dying wish).
September 2017: Vermilion Parish school board member Luddy Herpin's closing statements
December 2017: Part 1 Vermilion parish school board special meeting (son speaks out for not honoring his father's wish)
December 2017: Part 2 Vermilion parish school board special meeting (the vote)
"A wise person once told me -- It all goes around in a circle. So in the end, if there is ill intention, it will come back to bite you. And remember, we're gonna face that person in the end and that's when we're gonna be judged." - Laura Lebeouf

Well it was the same room, with the exact same people involved.

Not even a need to watch. They did it to gain the 5-3 edge in voting.
Replace an elected member who died, with a plant to vote your way, in order to control the votes.
And still people don't see anything wrong with it.
