All of these SUV redesigns seem to take a man truck and turn it into a station wagon type vaghicle.

I wish Jeep would bring back the Commander. A box with wheels, baby

There is only about 45 more horsepower and 4 extra gears in the new Impalas. They legitimately scoot and are likely faster than the old 1996 SS.

In fact, the 2.0L Turbo Malibu can probably outrun the old 1996 Impala SS. Shockingly those Malibus have a 160 mph top speed for some reason.

The material used looks just like and reminds me of the 90's Pontiacs

The new ones are actually more powerful.

I can say from personal experience that the new Impalas (2017 models) are definitely fast enough to be dangerous.

Definitely agree on the mustangs, however I graduated highschool in 2000, and I bought a 87 LX 5.0 notch back 5 speed, this thing was a sleeper, it looked like 4 cylinder one they made at the time, I was 16,17 and should of killed my self a few times before it got totaled when it got hit parked on the side of road... dam I miss that car!

This truck is just sad looking. It’s rather disgusting, actually.

The 1996/1997 restyle was controversial. But I think the quality was overall much better with the redesign even though I much prefer the styling from the ones in the early 1990s. The Super Duty's especially from the late 1990s/early 2000s were awesome rigs. That was before Ford shite the bed on diesel engines and even offered V-10 gas motors in some of their Super Duty trucks.

I do prefer the old I-6 Ford engine to the V6 model used in the newer ones. The 4.0L V6 was always underwhelming.

I had a 1999 F150 which was well built, but that 4.2L V6 was a slug. Unless it’s turbo, never again getting a V6 in a pickup.

I went from a 5.7 hemi to a V6 turbo. The smaller motor is just as peppy. I'm not sure about longevity but I probably will never see 100k in it anyway. I drive about 8-9k per year now.

I never drove a hemi, but I have a 2016 Tundra 5.7L. It has ample power but it’s not going to win a race with the ecoboost. I would’ve gotten the ecoboost but I do plan on keeping my truck a long time and had more confidence in a V8.

Volkswagen Beetle went from a diverse customizable small car to a faggy bubble with wheels and a tube for flowers or whatever.

Put the motor back where it goes. . . In the trunk.
