Had a vasectomy nearly a year ago. I was supposed to take a sample after 30 days then a second sample 2 weeks later. I'm lazy af and finally got around to taking my first sample to my Dr today. Test came back negative but said I still need to submit a second sample before they'll sign off. How important is the second sample considering it's been a year?

My dr signed off after the first one but had me wait 2 months. I think you’re probably fine and idk if you would ever need the no swimmer certification unless you have a different lifestyle than me.

Before who signs what off?

How important is this “sign off” and what exactly are the implications of them not signing? If you knock your lady up are they going to raise the kid or something?

My fiancé's cousin-in-law just got the all clear after firing live rounds two years after getting snipped. Don't brush it off.

Does 18 years sound like a long time to you? If not, go for it.

Swish it around in your mouth and you should be able to tell without having to go back in and pay for a sample.

My first sample came back negative, and the second one had swimmers. I’d go ahead and do it.

It took two years for the surgery to take? That seems excessive. How many samples did he have to give? Did he ever have a negative test or was is positive every time?

I was thinking today I made it my whole life and never had to have it thankfully. Everything worked out well too.

Guy next door to us when I was a kid got his wife pregnant after the doc had signed off saying he was effectively sterile. He got a nice check out of it.

He was also an a-hole who beat the shite out of his wife when she told him she was pregnant because he assumed she was sleeping around on him.

Should be shooting blanks after a year so an additional sign off doesn't mean much. There are some cheap online tests for about $30/ea that can be used every few months at home if you want to keep verifying.

Fair point. But going into that little room and whacking it then aiming into a jar wasn’t exactly my idea of fun.

WTF, they should give you a sample container and you just bring it back. Need to return it within X hours of producing specimen.

I did pull out method on the wife, filled my container and drove to doctors office.

You do not have to masterbate in doctors office.

My place was so strict with the timeline and all the other shite they made you jump through plus it’s on the other side of town which in Houston is a nightmare I just went with their recommendation of hitting the Baylor 6th floor jack shack. 0/10 would not recommend.
