here in katy, texas there is a closed facebook group for indian parents at my kids HS
the group is for sharing curriculum info, they have effectively mastered the system
with AP classes and online correspondence courses they manipulate the GPA system to make it almost meaningless
PE actually brings your GPA down because of the weighted scale, so they wait until their senior year and take PE online

Cut the girl some slack. At least she maybe able to actually help people some day when she becomes a surgeon. It seems we already have enough cute girls contributing what? Duck faces ,look at me pics to tik tok/twitter.

Valedictorian doesn’t mean much these days. There were 73 of them in my daughters class of around 400 students. All you had to do was have a 4.1 GPA to achieve it. Not too hard to do these days if you tack on a few honors classes which are weighted higher.

The grading scale is all wonky now where if you take honors or AP courses they score higher than a 4.0. Good for her.

my daughter was valedictorian of her graduating class, there was a big competition among the top few, they really get carried away with weighted classes and grade inflation
