I am still in wait-and-see mode but the ineffectiveness of the vaccine to prevent Covid (I understand it reduces symptoms) this far along with the questionable data on side effects make me feel better about my decision every day.

Exactly. It’s not some dramatic stance I’m taking. It’s just where I am currently being that I haven’t yet been vaccinated and we still are pretty answerless overall.

My parents didn’t want me taking Gardasil when it was released while I was a teenager either. I waited.

Hell, Chantix (made my Pfizer) is currently being recalled 15 YEARS LATER for causing cancer, plus links to suicides. It took 15 years to deduce this.

I realize it’s not the same sort of thing as these vaccines, but I think there’s nothing wrong with Wait-and-See for now.

Riiight. Educated people have taken high level science courses and have gotten the vaccine. The uneducated are somehow linking a world wide pandemic to US politics.

Shouldn’t make a different for anti-Vaxxers, why would they willingly submit their bodies to blasts of government mandated x-rays in order to fly?

Check out Ranitidine aka Zantac. In commercial use since 1981 and could be purchased over the counter. It wasn't until 219 that we realized it causes cancer. 38 years of use and FDA approval

i still think you’re too stupid to define the term “anti-vaxxer’

Never sat in a boardroom of a multi-million dollar and up business have you?

Less seating, same planes or packed seating less planes equals the same thing - less tickets being sold.

And large corporations will do what they need to meet the bottom line. And the first thing they will do as a result of less tickets - increase the price of said tickets.

Once again this does nothing but spawn division just like the NOLA mayor policy. Vaccinated people are catching and spreading the infection to other vaccinated individuals. So we have a vaccine that does not prevent one from becoming infected and spreading it. Additionally, there are no long term studies on the overall safety of these vaccines all for a virus with a 99.6% survival rate. Now we are going to see booster for a rinse and repeat cycle. Therapeutics will be the best way to solve this pandemic. The blindness of the pro vax crowd to the obvious failure of it is truly stunning.

This is a mischaracterization of the recall. Chantix, the drug, is not being recalled for causing cancer.

Certain lots of the drugs are being recalled due to having a certain chemical in higher % than the allowed amount, which could be a carcinogen if taken at high amounts over a long period of time.

There have been no links to cancer from Chantix.

A reasonable stance the hysterical Covidians can't understand. You're young, you're healthy, they aren't. They get angry at you for thinking forward.

I'm older and have cancer. I got vaccinated on my doctors recommendation. However, even she believes its not unreasonable for some to wait.

Increasing the ticket cost prices out even more people whicheans even less tickets sold. Would they increase prices even more to meet the bottom line then? By your model, they would keep increasing the price until no one can afford to fly.

They lower the cost to sell more tickets. It's not a new concept.

Actually the first thing they would do is sell off parts of their fleet and have less flights. Reducing O&M expenditures would have a much greater effect on the bottom line than raising ticket prices.

First, yeah, maybe for a "widget" but in real life certain products have a BUILT IN demand due to necessity...like medicine, water, milk etc. So your argument immediately fails because it doesn't recognize this.

Second, I'll repeat my first point: Airlines will find a way to get their expected money and we'll pay for it one way or another.
