Turn off your TVs people. We need large populations of unvaccinated or they will start putting us in concentration camps.

Resit! This has nothing to do with a virus. Has the government ever once mentioned that everyone who gets Covid tests low for Vitamin D? Or that it helps if you lose weight? They don’t care about protecting us from a virus this has nothing to do with heath.

I personally know several guys that haven't even tested positive but were "in close contact" so have to miss several days of work this week. They are each likely out at least 10 grand because of the timing. It really sucks for them. All of them unvaccinated. One guy that was also a close contact was vaccinated so he gets to miss zero time.

I get your thought. It just easier on everyone to just get the shot. Problem is that mindset just causes things to snowball whether you like it or not.

On a similar note, shouldn’t recovered Covid patients receive the same privileges as vaxxed people?

20-39 only make up 18% of admits at Ochsner

And how many of those are healthy individuals?

I have a hard time believing the vast majority of healthy 20-39 year Olds have anything to worry about.

So your company was voluntarily given the vaccination status of these employees? I assume it is a voluntary condition of "you don't have to miss time if you're vaccinated" but you have to prove it. Honestly curious.

This is what infuriates me the most
No one will call a fat arse a fat arse because of cancel culture & fat shaming
I went to WalMart last night & there was a little girl, maybe 10 or 11, that was easily pushing 150#

It’s sad

Not my company.

And yes with that company, if you are vaccinated you skip other protocols and don't have to miss time unless you are symptomatic and test positive I think. You are asked to prove your status only in the case of a close contact/positive test.

To be fair, if you are NOT a fat arse as you say then Covid is NOT a concern for you the vast majority of the time. In fact, we clearly know who should be concerned with Covid and who shouldn’t be concerned with it.

Are you saying healthy people need to get a shot in order to protect the person who clearly doesn’t give a rats arse about their well-being as they scarf down their Big Macs?

Mask wearing is about the dumbest, fruitless act to stopping or slowing this thing. It’s a virtue signal to show compliance and that’s all it’s used as… a prop to show others that you’re doing your part for the “greater good.”

It's clear masking does help, though of course some masks, and maskers, are more effective than others. But I agree that if unvaccinated isolate at home that would be more effective.

Basically none

However in previous waves the 20-40 year olds getting hospitalized generally had BMI over 40 with diabetes

Now seeing them with BMIs in low 30s and no diabetes

I bet a lot of OTers that brag about being healthy fall into that category

our company just says, people who are vaccinated don't have to wear masks or social distance or any of the other recommendations.
They also say that they can ask at any point whether you are vaccinated or not. but, they're not going ask for proof. so...

BMI is innacurate for OTers because they're all muscular with 8% body fat.

And last Monday is also when Fox News and GOP politicians starting saying that it's important to get vaccinated. Crazy how that works. Wonder how many died or were hospitalized before Fox and the politicians got on board?

Where did I say this? Isolation is just as detrimental as this virus has been.

It's easy to agree with laws that benefit you when you carry no liability for forcing someone into a medical treatment. Laws are laws however. Can't choose which ones to abide by.

That's still Obese by BMI standards.

So not a massive fatty, but still pretty fat.

I meant the medical community

We have had a male Dr cry during a press conference & a female Dr get damn near hysterical
If any of these people hinted at getting outside & taking a walk or eating healthier I’d have a lot more respect for them

Instead we are giving away fast food for getting tested

Bmi in the low 30s is your average resident in louisiana.

Alot of people, and posters, think they are "perfectly healthy", when in reality they arent
