That teacher is obviously too stupid to teach.

frick these people.
If I were the judge, I'd notice a Rule 11 hearing on my own motion and that fricking attorney better bring his/her toothbrush.

Remington settled with Sandy Hook families for 73 million CBS Sunday Morning
No they didn't. Quit posting BS. Insurance companies settled, not Remington.

Guns are never at fault. Not sure why this is so hard to understand for some.

The filing is a pre-suit petition rather than a formal lawsuit. The action seeks to determine whether the gun manufacturer can be sued over the operation of its weapons.

ETA: She should also sue the door manufacturer for making doors that could be left opened.
Wait… I think she is the one that was originally accused of leaving the door open, but later changed her story and claimed the door malfunctioned. Now she is suing a gun manufacturer.
Mrs. Marin is all over the place in this story. No wonder she’s experienced so much psychological damage.

Sue the family of the gunman.
Sue the police.

I went to Wal-Mart earlier today to get some antibiotics for my sick 5 year old.
There was a big woman on a motorized cart in front of me and behind me in line.
Maybe Oreo, Coke, and Little Debbie should be sued, too.

The report described Marin as a staff member who had brought food to the school for an end-of-the-year party. She ran inside of the school and closed the side door after reportedly seeing the shooter outside, but the door did not automatically lock as designed.
Seems like door lock company or district would be more liable. This makes it look like this teacher going out the door was still part of reason it didn’t lock even if not propped open.

Classmates said he missed large parts of the school year and wasn’t set to graduate with the others this year.
I wonder what school district ignored from killer being bullied to more recent behavior including what possibly involved truancy. Truancy is not a criminal offense, but schools and districts are supposed to have and follow Truancy Prevention Measures. https://www.tasb.org/services/legal-services/tasb-school-law-esource/students/documents/compulsory_attendance_and_truancy.aspx/
Even if not truancy but whatever was stopping him from graduating with class the district & high school would have had meet with him and family. At some point it seems like some of the below would have come up showing he was suffering from a mental illness.

Ramos had a history of violence and “loved” abusing animals, according to one of his classmates from Uvalde High School.
Jaime Arellano told the Daily Beast that Ramos was a bully who provoked other people in order to pick fights and was seen hurting dogs.
“He would go to the park and try to pick on people and he loved hurting animals,” said the classmate.
Others alleged that Ramos boasted about torturing animals and aired his acts of animal abuse on the streaming platform Yubo.
A Yubo user told ABC News that Ramos would “put cats in plastic bags, suspend them inside, throw them at the ground and throw them at people’s houses”.
quote:
Friends and relatives have said that Ramos was bullied, cut his own face, fired a BB gun at random people and egged cars in the years leading up to the deadly attack.
Family and friends have also said that he had a difficult home life, that he was bullied over a childhood speech impediment and that he lashed out violently towards both friends, strangers, and his mother – both recently and over the years.

Shooter was reported to social media platform for rape threats
Ramos had also allegedly threatened women with sexual violence.
He threatened to rape and murder 19-year-old Amanda Robbins after she rejected his sexual advances, according to CNN.
Ms Robbins said she witnessed Ramos threaten other girls with similar “acts of sexual assault and violence”.
Ramos’s Yubo account was reported by several people due to its graphic content and lewd threats, but was allowed back on the platform following a temporary ban.
Hannah, 18, told the broadcaster that she had reported Ramos’ account after he threatened to shoot up her school, and rape and kill her and her mother during a live stream session.

Yubo still on App Store so apparently it’s moderation issues are still ok with Apple.
As far as lawsuits and secondary blame for what this piece of crap did - Parents obviously failed, but District also failed killer as one of their students. If district also ignored door being propped open or failed to maintain locks on top of performance of its own police chief it seems the district should be target not gun manufacturer.

I’m thankful my two ARs don’t go around shooting people. They must have been raised right.
