I feel really bad for the guys in Norco's preop class right now. 1 week in and out of a job now until this is resolved. All probably left jobs to come to Norco too and are now SOL.

You and me both man. Did you go to the hall last night? I think it's chicken shite that of the 14 sites, half are shell/Motiva since they are the lead negotiator. Like pulling shell sites are going to make the other companies settle, BP and ExxonMobil etc don't give a damn if shell sites are offline, pull some of them damnit.

Wouldn't surprise me really, and who can blame them.

I agree with you but I know first hand that XOM BR 's contract isn't up until April or May. That's why they aren't striking yet. I'm going to the hall today. I have a couple questions that need to be answered.

ExxonMobil in BR isn't part of the national oil bargain, they took a contract that conflicted with national so they got kicked out essentially.

About the FCCU, had heard the rumor elsewhere and was wondering if anyone could confirm it.

Yea. I believe they pissed off Beavers so he struck his magic wand at them and took them out of the oil bargaining. I'm hearing they are want to give USW the boot.

I don't know the particulars but I just know if you accept a contract that in some way is less than the national agreement you get kicked out.

The union seems to be pissing off more members more and more. The meeting yesterday from some hipster looking 12yr old didn't help things either. Dude specifically said "we aren't worried with Shell Norco, you guys have everything were fighting for.." well why the Frick are we striking then? Let the sites that are lagging behind strike.

Yea I won't be walking any line. I'll be focusing on how to collect some sort of paycheck until this all gets resolved.
