USPS in disarray

A recent order of business cards. How does this happen? I realize that logistics make for seemingly illogical shipping routes, but this takes the cake.

Looks like USPS business as usual

USPS not being able to read house numbers coincide with lowering math standards.

literally- same.
I've been waiting on a package for 2 weeks and it's been everywhere except my house.

Using USPS for anything important is trashy

I agree, but it’s sometimes not up to me. It’s whoever is shipping it.
And places have contracts with shipping and fulfillment companies like Pitney bowes and Auctane, who use usps.

Auctane brands include: ShipStation, Stamps.com, Packlink, ShipEngine, Metapack, ShippingEasy, Endicia, ShipWorks, GlobalPost, and Shipsi.

I’ll call you a dinosaur. Keep up with the times grandpa. Nobody is is impressed with your thick stock business cards nor wants to keep up with them.
And to insinuate you can’t meet face to face without a card is laughable. Are you a realtor?

How does this happen?
It is called looping. I am part owner of a family business and the area I am arm's length responsible for is small parts shipping. We see about 1 out of every 1300 packages "loop". I had a discussion about it with our USPS point person and they gave a number of reasons it can happen most of which don't apply to us but the one that applies to everyone is a failure of the automated sort machine. For example sometimes a package gets snagged on another package or ends up under it when it passes the scanner and gets shifted with that package to go to another hub. Usually by the tame it gets there it has separated from the other package and when it goes through that facilities sort machines it gets routed back to where it came from.

The government does things very effectively and efficiently. We should let them control even more aspects of our lives.

If you look at the screenshot, I'd question the last "scan" in Dallas. No way it's accurate.

Walk into a usps office a look at the workers then think about why they suck elephant arse! Half of them can’t read or speak properly and the ONLY reason they were given that job is because of their skin color and or being a female of that same skin color.
And I’m not talking about Whitey either.

I’ve sold on eBay from the beginning (over 25 years) and probably 99.9% of my packages have been delivered correctly. It’s that tiny percentage that pisses us off, but overall….most have gotten to the correct address. By printing postage labels automatically, the address they (the buyer) put into the system is the one used, so I can neither transpose numbers, nor write illegibly. That helps.
My Amazon purchases are far more likely to be delivered two streets over.
My biggest gripe is the pricing. I sell books, and media mail has gone up so much, that I am committed to selling off what inventory I have, and not buying more. At some point people balk at paying stupid high postage for stuff, and "mom and pops" can’t afford to give free shipping unless there is significant profit in the item. (Something I am working on, selling better stuff…)
