Using a Dyson hand dryer is like setting off a viral bomb in a bathroom

Researchers have long known that warm hand dryers can launch bacteria into the air—compared to dabbing with paper towels, which unleashes virtually none. But new jet air dryers, made by Dyson, are significantly more problematic—they launch far more viruses into the air, which linger for longer periods of time and reach much farther distances, researchers recently reported in the Journal of Applied Microbiology. This is particularly concerning because viruses, unlike many infectious bacteria, can easily maintain their infectiousness in the air and on surfaces, and just a few viral particles can spark an infection.

Imagine if the pilgrims had blow dryers at their disposal instead of just blankets

The only people that like those damned hand dryers are facilities managers (saves money on paper towels) and the companies who make them.

Obvious solution is obvious: The hard dryer needs to be paired with one of their vacuums that never lose suction.

I like them if they work. saves paper, as in polluting, also dont have to touch the thing after I washed my hands. Yes i know they make auto dispensers for paper towels, but the towels easily get stuck up in them if someone didnt tear it properly.

Well no shite, it takes research to figure out if you cake your hands with viruses, moving air will spread the virus? What about after you wash your hands like your supposed to? You would think you wash the germs and viruses off.

It seems to me that if you wash your hands properly to start with, Dyson won't have anything to spread.

Are you taking into consideration the fact that most people fail to properly wash their hands with soap. And that the soap may not be antibacterial soap?
Briefly passing your hands under water with whatever they offer as soap isn't going to kill the bacteria/viruses on your hands. That's how you spread them when you move to the dryer.

Anti-Bacterial soap is bad for you anyway.

You WILL be exposed to things in your life. If you spend your whole life going overboard on anti this and anti that you will never build an immunity to anything you are exposed to.

I have a couple of cousin's whose mom spent a shite ton of money growing up on that stuff and they still do today. They and their kids are sick all the damn time.

Never use antibacterial soap.

Also, after using a blow dryer hand dryer, if you touch the bathroom door handle you have completely undone your hand washing. Love paper towels.

Something that irritates me about the Dyson is the narrow slot into which one must insert ones hands. You're virtually guaranteed to touch the sides. Piss poor idea.

Dude at this point in my life, I've been exposed to everything but Anthrax and Ebola. A little soap isn't going to kill me. For adults, I can't see soap being a problem. Especially after you shite. Get the fecal germs off your hands. If I'm pissing, I'm not even bothering with washing my hands.
My dick is probably the cleanest thing in the bathroom.
