Space and Disney nerds rejoice!

quote:

Hungry guests will board an elevator that will transport them to an elegant space station dining room. The details will be rich. The elevator is a motion simulator with guests seeing projections on the floor of launching out of Central Florida, taking off into outer space. Taking destination dining to a new extreme, the restaurant is surrounded by panoramic windows with projections that make it seem as if you're gliding along above Earth's surface.

quote:

Space 220 should have opened years ago. The original concept art dates back to 2017, and it was supposed to be treating park guests to galactic cuisine before the pandemic. Construction delays and then the COVID-19 crisis pushed out the restaurant's debut to next week.

The price tag will be jarring to most potential diners. Travelers will commit to either a $55 two-course menu for lunch or a $79 three-course dinner. There is a children's menu, at $29 a tot, for those 9 years old or younger.

Not a huge Disney fan, but this looks like an insanely legit restaurant.

You're paying for the experience, which looks like a lot of fun. Food is just your admission price basically.

In general, yes, but there are hidden gems. The Indian restaurant in animal kingdom is my favorite.

i hate Disney as much as anyone

But the nicer sit-down restaurants across the parks are dynamite. Especially the France one in Epcot

Idk how the food is but the experience looks cool. Great place for kids who enjoy space/astronaut stuff.

Plenty of people will be lined up to pay $29 for their kids to have an experience at that restaurant they’ll probably never forget. Disney is about a whole lot more than $29 meals and long lines. It’s about experiences that last a lifetime for many. Much like a $7.00 hotdog at a baseball game or a $6.00 popcorn at a movie. It’s not for everyone, though.

Do they offer a replica cantina where guests can drink and fight like Hans? It could be the ultimate cosmic Sonic in the making.

I have taken my kids to Disney, but the HUGE problem with your theory is they barely remember (they were 6-10). Now, Universal...yeah...my kids LOVED that place.
