Yeah, of course. I've already acknowledged it has major flaws, but this is the first time I've ever heard the alleged victim hire an attorney to prove she wasn't abused.

So what youre saying is essentially the best way to make her case that they made the wrong judgement is to sit back and do nothing. And the fact that she is taking any action is proof to the otherwise.

This is 100% accurate. Title IX was in existence but he started using it as a weapon of social change. Much like he did with Executive Orders, the US DoJ and the FBI.

Mattress Girl is one of the stories that pisses me off the most.

She effectively admitted she was lying and was given some kind of hero award and in her speech, said that "it didn't matter if she was telling the truth or not" because of how much attention she brought to the issue.

And they gave her a standing applause. Lunatics.

I had some uber lib bring her up to me the other day. Didn't even know that she had basically admitted to lying and the guy got a huge settlement. This same person also believes women make 74 cents on the dollar to men.

I had never heard of her until my mother told me about it. The way she described the girl acting had me thinking that my mother must have some facts wrong. I did a little research into it, and damn, mattress girl and that whole situation is indeed FUBAR.

People with this attitude should have all of their rights revoked.

That's the problem, people here the beginning of a story and never follow up, or they hear some twisted version of it.

Mattress Girl 100% lied her arse off and was treated like a hero. I hope she dies.

No, I'm saying the facts we've heard up to this point makes me believe there is more to the story. The only release about the "horseplaying" is from the girlfriend's attorney. USC hasn't said a word, and their boards are pretty quiet too.

It's insane to me anyone would defend these weird "tribunals" which are literally put in place to circumnavigate the court system.

A) I'm not defending the tribunals.

B) I believe beyond reasonable doubt is fine for criminal trials, but lowering the burden of proof for determining whether or not a student remains enrolled in your university is acceptable. That being said, the entire process needs to be overhauled, particularly the part that disallows the alleged violator to cross-examine witnesses.

Do you ever know what you are talking about?

We get it. You like Obama cause he was black. You dislike this title 9 policy. However, you are so down for the brotha you will deny he implemented this change

I'm no fan of Title IX, but each situation should be judged on its own merits. If the girlfriend denies it was abuse, the kicker denies it, they're both athletes, and he's still kicked out of school, I'm inclined to believe there is more to the story

Sounds like you are more than just a fan. Sounds like you are an outright advocate for trampling people's rights.

That'll probably just get him expelled.

No shite they're quiet. They just abused someone's basic rights and are probably about to get sued to Bolivian*. Did it ever cross your mind they're so quiet because they expelled this male student without a scintilla of evidence; in fact, in spite of exculpatory testimony? They'd embarrass the hell out of themselves.

Ding, ding, ding. The university's attorneys have most likely informed them that this guy's attorney is about to shove it in so deep that their diaphragms are going to be bruised and unless they want to find out just how much further up their arse the attorney can stick it, they'd best just shut the frick up.

What should happen is that the people in the administration that passed this should be fired to set an example. People who wrongfully accuse people of rape/domestic violence get away with this shite all the time. As for the neck beard or bleeding heart count who "witnessed" the non-incident needs to be discipline as well just because he can't mind his own fricking business.
