Outside of Jackson, Mississippi has had gains in their educational system, passed a hell of a lot of states.

Agreed. It doesn't mean female accountants make less than males accountants. It just takes female earnings vs male earnings.

Men work more physical, dangerous jobs. The ladies could close that number if they'd start learning plumbing or welding.

I've been to Vermont and Maine

Those folks are living on a different planet, compared to the rest of us

I've never really understood how a gender pay cap can happen. You go to a job with and the hr director says, well you have 10 years experience and a BS degree. This is what we pay you. period. There are no negotiations in a corporate ran facility. Of course, these would be hourly workers.

Its based on false equivalence

If women could be employed at 70 cents on the dollar for the same output, why hire any men?

There’s not a gender pay gap. Most Louisiana men and women aren’t doing equal jobs. There’s no pay gap if they’re performing the same job and same position. But a female elementary school teacher isn’t going to make the same as a Baw doing turn arounds working 12-14 shifts for several weeks straight

the “Gender Pay Gap” is more liberal nonsense that doesn’t exist in reality if logic is involved.

It’s very easy to explain the difference in LA. Obviously, high-earning industrial/energy jobs in Louisiana are more prevalent than other areas, are are naturally male-dominated.

Anyone recall that ole SIL skit Maine Justice? It was a parody of what would happen if everyone from South Louisiana relocated to Maine following a disastrous hurricane. Had some funny bits. Lasted about a season.

Many people I know down here in South Florida have either a summer house or an eventual get out of Florida house up nawth. I know a few that picked Maine. The summers are gorgeous. I like New England during the summer time, but I’d rather be out west most of the seasons of the year.
