They only played like 40 min

The game had a clock on it but after 11 goals in 37 min or so it moved to a target of 12 goals for the game to be completed. It wasn’t even close.

I didn't know that, and that is beyond embarrassing. Given the state of play, it's not shocking, but wow.

I expect that anyone that is surprised has paid little attention to Kane, Mane, Salah, De Bruyne, Haaland, and 50 other stone cold killers in EPL. The level of competition is a Grand Canyon sized cliff between men and women. Let's cut the racism claim down immediately, the Mexican U18 would smoke our WNT by twice that score.

I will also point out that most of the OLY players don't do much of anything outside of training and media appearances, where teams like Wrexham (current players, even) are still hanging drywall and stuff most days. These retired dudes (the blonde guy was surely not soccer svelte) are doing this for fun.

It was FC Dallas’s U14 team IIRC.

The equal pay argument isn't about if men can beat women. It's about which one is a bigger draw and the men's World Cup draws way more fans and money than the women's World Cup.

Sounds like you need a math lesson.

Louisiana square miles: 51,839
England square miles: 51,328
United Kingdom square miles: 93,628 (added in case you don’t know the difference)

Explain to me how you got to 2.2? You possibly converting kilos to pounds by mistake, easy mistake of course for a Liverpudlian.

Does this mean they have to go back to being paid 1/12th as much as the men?

Back in high school, our top girls basketball player, who had a scholarship to Louisiana Tech, played a random male sophomore, who didn't even play basketball one-on-one because they were talking shite to each other.

He beat her soundly. She may have scored once.

No. He’s right. Link someone saying men have no advantage over women physically.

You are confusing the position many have that trans-women (former men who are pretending to be women and are taking meds to suppress testosterone) have no advantage. This is a stupid position, but not as stupid as what you are alleging.

You don't remember the media flak McEnroe got for saying Serena wouldn't rank in the to 500 of men's??

The whole women's team argument is they deserve more money than the men bc they won their world cup. Neglecting the fact it's harder for the men to reach the world cup than it is for the women to win theirs.

Isn't the men's team the one Ryan Renyolds co-owns with Mac from "It's Always Sunny..." ?

Even Serena Williams will tell you they are not equal.

She played #200 in tennis and got her arse handed to her and has zero problem saying i can’t beat a man

Sometimes, it takes a little common sense to realize that this knee jerk shite is out of control

So, they're saying they want equal pay for an inferior product?

I pulled it off of one of the top five results in search in 15 seconds and it seemed reasonable based on what could be the fake news map I saw. I didn't look for results that included the ROI for obvious reasons. Did I pull out Nelson's navigational charts to double check the figures? No.

The point still stands. England is tiny, and still has a very small population to excuse what happened. Wrexham. A team of retired dudes in Wales that nobody visits unless they hike or until they take a wrong turn in Manchester. This wasn't about Louisiana per se, but a point that female soccer talent is nowhere, nowhere close, to male talent, even in the "minor" leagues compared to female Olympic teams. But cheers for nitpicking to addressing the basic issues behind a 12-0 arse kicking.

You are right, however, I should have seen 2.2 and been immediately suspicious because of the Kg/Pound ratio. I should know better.

Normal soccer matches are 90 minutes. That was 9-0 after 35 minutes including stoppage time which likely included bear breaks:

That very well could have been 20-0 if not much worse.
