I thought this was a fun fact.
Delaware's largest city is Wilmington (71k) - about the size of Lake Charles
Maine's largest city is Portland (66k) - about the size of Bossier City
West Virginia's largest city is Charleston (50k) - about the size of Monroe
Wyoming's largest city is Cheyenne (62k) - about the size of Kenner
Vermont's largest city is Burlington (42k) - 5k less than Alexandria
Add these 5 cities up (291k) and you'd still need 100k more people to be the same size as New Orleans (391k)

Add up all their crime rates and see how much it still falls short in comparison.

Y'all would all love Portland, ME in the summer and fall. Just letting you know.

Sounds nice. Big cities suck other than to visit.

Looks like a "Top Five States to Live In" list to me.

Louisiana has a surprisingly large population compared to the states around us excluding TX
4.65 million people LA
2.98 million people in MS
4.90 million people in AL (this surprised me)
3.01 million people in AR

Good point. I don't want to live anywhere near the Potato in Chief.

I don't know if any of these cities qualify, but I feel it's misleading when they give you the "population" of a city but do not give you the population of the "greater" area. You always hear that New Orleans has a population of about 300K. The greater New Orleans area is over 1.2 million. THAT is the real population. The only reason Jefferson, St. Bernard, St. Charles and St. Tammany exists is because they grew around Orleans.
I wonder what the "greater" area of those cities are.

I've been to four out of five of those cities. The metro pop of those cities isn't much different than the city population.
Can't speak to Wilmington though.

Then, Houston/DFW metros each have 1.4 or so the entire population of Louisiana.

Wilmington, DE is a dump. It's about 28% white if that tells you anything.

You played that Sporcle quiz this morning too, huh?

Wilmington, DE has a higher murder rate than NOLA. It's a shithole.

Delaware is just an extended part of Philadelphia.
