but then he offered up talking points stating that the higher the household income, the more likely a student is to be admitted to college.
Yeah, people with higher IQs generally earn a higher income and have children with higher IQs.

kinda ironical that both Jackson and Thomas are on the court for reasons other than merit.
You're seriously equating Thomas with Jackson?
You can't possibly be that stupid.

I haven’t read entire thread or much on this decision yet, but how was Harvard as a private institution included in a 14th amendment decision?

Clarence Thomas doing some work.
quote:
Thomas said that "Justice Jackson's race-infused world view falls flat at each step."
"Individuals are the sum of their unique experiences, challenges, and accomplishments. What matters is not the barriers they face, but how they choose to confront them. And their race is not to blame for everything—good or bad—that happens in their live," he said.

The media is trying so hard to lump Black and Hispanic together. These groups are not the fondest of each other and they are trying so hard to unite them.
They just dont get it.

Ironically if they all claim Lucy is the mother of human kind and was found in Africa, could not any person simply put their race as of African descent? It’s science, right?
The reality is that schools can and will still use race in some way to make decisions. It will simply be done in a way to skirt this ruling now and not so blatant.
It’s sad because affirmative action was not meant to be about putting a less qualified candidate in purely based on their race. It was to help equally or nearly equally qualified candidates not have it held against them. Instead, they took it too far (shocker I know) and almost eliminated merit entirely in some cases.
Diversity can be a major strong point, but when it is forced into place simply for its existence, it will almost always be detrimental.

Probably billions of federal dollars

Harvard has already put out a statement regarding the loophole that Roberts left them:
No remorse at all.
As I said in another thread, if the GOP had any nuts at all, they would put forth a law that would force universities to use a blind exam as the sole criterion for admissions.

This is a Mike Tyson beatdown from Clarence Thomas.
Nice, I’ve said so many times that not every negative experience someone has is because of racism.
It’s kind of like rope being racist because somehow it’s only been used for black people. So you get a garage door pull being racist or a lose electrical wire being a symbol of white supremacy.
Democrats and race baiters have completely warped their minds.

Here is a crazy concept; how about schools accept the most deserving students rather than accepting students based off of the color of their skin?
