They don’t have it in the NBA, NFL or MLB or college sports. Why should they have it in college admissions?

Jackson's dissent is still a good read regardless of whether you agree with it.
It really isn't. "We should be able to discriminate based on race because some people don't achieve as much as others" is what it boils down to, and that flies in the face of the 14th amendment. If colleges want to discriminate on something else (diversity of income, diversity of lived experience, etc.) to achieve a diverse student body, be my guest. But it can't be race.

What’s your opinion on the ruling?
If colorblindness is the prevailing perspective, it still leaves a gaping hole when it comes to dealing with the legacy students when the vast majority of those are white. That of course is a byproduct of past segregation which had to be fixed through laws, including affirmative action. Just because progress has since been made as a result of such laws, it doesn’t mean that it’s a sure thing that progress will continue to be made without them. If schools go on to give favor to legacy students as they always have, then it will not be the victory in terms of race that some people (namely Asians) think it will be.

today's ruling makes things worse, not better.
Only to those whose culture is broken. Only to those who place a priority on government assistance over the welfare of their children. And only to those who have sacrificed self respect and dignity for a life of mediocrity, self pity, and the crutch that is the belief in "institutional racism." It will take generations to fix that and, if anything, this ruling can only eventually be a step in the right direction for these people.

You are too stupid to realize this, I know.
As for Jackson, wasn't that the dumb bitch that said she couldn't tell you what a woman was? And we are supposed to think this moron is smart?

What a ridiculous premise to justify race-based admission practices.
Legacy admissions only make up around 25% of total admissions yet we're supposed to believe this is some sort of school that looks like it's in the middle of Norway

Like any of this theater matters. You’d better be on the skull and cross bones list if you want to party at Yale for four years and then waltz into a nebulous m&a job with a direct line to the central banks.

Exactly. The white legacy kids are going to be self loathing trustafarians who'll get a journalism or marketing degree to go on to a career of preaching the evils of rich white people.

That’s the problem. When progress meets its intended goal in modern America, it doesn’t just stop. It tastes power and continues to reach and reach until it’s completely unfair and nonsensical.

It is really difficult trying to get people that think someone with a penis can get pregnant to grasp simple concepts. You really are talking to someone with the intelligence level of a brick.

She could've explained her position quoting Tupac lyrics and Tboy would've called it the greatest legal opinion in US history

I believe the "adults" who have returned to the room in 2021 have already attempted a bomb threat at SCOTUS because they didn't get their way again.

So your argument is that racism in the form of race based admissions should be allowed because of legacy admissions? Talk about a reach. I mean good try I guess but your opinion is stupid.

You may note that in those paragraphs you posted there is not a single mention of a statute or jurisprudence. It's just a bunch of feelings. The job of the Supreme Court isn't to make everyone feel happy, it's to enforce the Constitution.

Medical schools need to abolish the whole “holistic” approach to admission standards, and letting unqualified minorities in. The MCAT is in place for a reason in the medical field and should never be waived for African Americans, for muh reparations.
