Too bad corporate America has been infected with DEI

Our huge corporate push is to hire more women. Never mind the fact they get 24 week maternity leave and all but a single married woman we have hired has left us to either be a stay at home mom or left for a 100% WFH job. Then we get chastised because we are 90% male. It’s fricking bullshite

You’re only going off of a singular quote of MLK and not telling a greater story of him regarding what he advocated for if you believe that progressives are throwing him under the bus.

To think like you do, you have to believe black people are inferior to you.

Okay. Now, how will they be punished?

They will be sued with standing. They will either change or pay out the arse.

What you will see next…..and has been heading that way….is elimination of ACT and SAT scores. So they can make a 3.5 at a shitty public high school “meaningful.”

I don’t have the time to read the whole thing just like I don’t have time to read the whole Thomas opinion. Could you post some key excerpts like some have done of the Thomas opinion?

Throwing under the bus is the wrong term, but completely abandoning core principles is a much better description

With let-them-eat-cake obliviousness, today, the majority pulls the ripcord and announces "colorblindness for all" by legal fiat. But deeming race irrelevant in law does not make it so in life. And having so detached itself from this country's actual past and present experiences, the Court has now been lured into interfering with the crucial work that UNC and other institutions of higher learning are doing to solve America's real-world problems.

quote:

No one benefits from ignorance. Although formal race-linked legal barriers are gone, race still matters to the lived experiences of all Americans in innumerable ways, and today's ruling makes things worse, not better. The best that can be said of the majority's perspective is that it proceeds (ostrich-like) from the hope that preventing consideration of race will end racism. But if that is its motivation, the majority proceeds in vain. If the colleges of this country are required to ignore a thing that matters, it will not just go away. It will take longer for racism to leave us. And, ulti mately, ignoring race just makes it matter more.

which is why I think it is kinda funny when people on here call every Democrat "communist".If these democrats are communists, their proletariat is just trannies and white student loan havers.

Exactly what happened

The New Left abandoned class warfare for race and gender

Communism is just overthrowing the power structure and replacing with those near the bottom

The New_Left is modern progressivism

A hybrid of Mao and Marx, the cultural revolution is the current model

C on Z, thanks for posting.

So using insulting and condescending paragraphs Jackson’s argument is admissions on merit and being colorblind will lead to more racism, while judging by race and seeing certain races more worthy than others leads to less racism?

Eta
What’s your opinion on the ruling?

This is the level of intellect people like Tboy think is a sign of progress. There's a reason why corporate news and late night comedy base their business models on it. It appeals to pretentious, narcissistic midwits like him and they lap it up like starving dogs.

Your description is probably better. I think it’s actually a combination of the two.

Dumb question, does this only apply to public universities?
Are private colleges free to do what they want?
