Worse than Covid.

Worse than post 2008.

Pour one out for your Realtor friends.

I’m looking to sell in about a year and a half. How will we look then?

Our economy. Lotta bad signs out there right now including a way overvalued market, labor market contraction, stubborn inflation, and a whole shite ton of uncertainty due to possible tariffs, booting of illegals, and DOGE turning the screws on State and Local governments to cover for loss of Fed money.

It was nice to see this morning's inflation report was about steady instead of showing a spike.

The economy is cyclical, and every expansion leads to a contraction to weed out bad investment. Biden stifled this expansion so the coming recession will probably suck moreso than usual.

I want the criminals out, which is what ya boy promised to do.

Instead, he's sending ICE into schools, churches, and workplaces going after the people who are peaceful contributors to our economy. Get rid of those with rap sheets and reevaluate. If we still need to reduce the numbers and the economy can support their departure, have at it.

My house is ready for the market but I just can't bring myself to put it up.

Plus there just isn't much for sale right now either, I assume for the same reasons.

It sucks because we are ready to move. Terrible timing as always.

Almost every new listing I get in a few different areas in Houston is a re-list.

From what I can see, a lot of potential first time home buyers have simply given up trying.

Right about what? That there will be a market correction? Does the fact that pending home sales are the lowest ever not prove I am correct? Prices will and have started coming down in areas as inventory increases. We just aren't at the point where a lot of people HAVE to sell yet. That may or may not happen en masse but it will happen for some.

Also, hedge funds are already dumping inventory in states like FL where they overbought and the rental market is shrinking along with insurance rates going up making it unjustifiable to own rentals there. They are selling at fire sale rates too, which is going to hurt comps.

No matter how you slice, certain parts of the country will see a correction. No one knows how small or major, but my city is predicted to see the worst of it according to the experts.

Until boomers start moving out, dying or downsizing in mass there won’t be an enough inventory.

My wife is going to hate it but we are probably in our house for another 5 years
