As a 61 person, I saw this first hand today. Having some really bad crap going on, this PA I saw was making shite up for other doctors to see if they could find other problems. I'm just pissed.

Here are a few good links for you, we spend much more on drugs, administration, and extra diagnostic testing than almost any other country. If you look at prices for specific procedures the US is usually more expensive for comparable surgeries.

I never claimed to have an awswer to our issues but it doesn’t take a genius to recognize that our healthcare costs are bloated.

You are linking COSTS. I don’t have a problem with that data. I have a problem with how they measure OUTCOMES.

those 2 determine ranking. Or atleast they should but they also contain bullshite like “equality” and weight it the same.

I’ve gone deep into these studies, I suggest you do the same

I'm not wanting to get into the debate or to argue either side of this issue, I'm just curious after reading your points, do you not believe that Medicare/Medicaid is socialized healthcare?

Socialized healthcare will cost more than anything we have ever seen in this country. It’s just a matter of the method of payment.... taxes/debt vs. premiums
When was I advocating for socialized healthcare? I’m simply acknowledging that our healthcare costs are out of control and that we need to open the discussion of how to fix it instead of pretending that it’s all gravy. The fact is that you can get comparable procedures done anywhere in the world for cheaper than you can in the U.S. so I’m asking why and what can we do to fix this?

It is. And they are massively inefficient. Why would we want that to be the main form of healthcare? Is anyone excited about getting on Medicare/Medicaid?

Why?... third party payer

What can we do?... don’t introduce the biggest third party payer of all. Do the exact opposite

The entire point of the study in the OP is to imply that socialized healthcare is better, so forgive me for thinking you were supporting that. But you should really look into this, don’t take my word. The danger is if these “news” sources keep repeating it enough people start to believe it.

This comes as little surprise, given that healthcare services in these countries are universal and publicly funded. The US, by contrast, is one of the few developed nations that lacks universal healthcare, according to The Atlantic.

Where can I see the list of 1-26, we might be 5-15 but I can't even think of 26 countries that would be classified as first world countries.

And on education, most countries don't even bother educating the bottom half of students. In Germany they classify you in elementary school and don't even bother with those in the bottom classifications

The US is 27th in the world in health and education outcomes, not “health and education” generally (to include inputs, resources, processes, etc.). Those are two very different things.

Damn socialists. Socialized police departments and socialized fire departments blow. Get rid of police, and those who can afford should hire private police officers, paying thousands in premiums.

Maybe the systems as a whole. But there should be little doubt that if you want THE BEST in healthcare or education, you come to the USA.
