It's so stealthy they're having to fit it with reflectors so other ships can spot it during sea trials....

The future USS Zumwalt is so stealthy that it'll go to sea with reflective material that can be hoisted to make it more visible to other ships. The Navy destroyer is designed to look like a much smaller vessel on radar, and it lived up to its billing during recent builder trials. Lawrence Pye, a lobsterman, told The Associated Press that on his radar screen the 610-foot ship looked like a 40- to 50-foot fishing boat.

I'm all about being a patriot, but that shite looks stupid.

Just from looking at it, though, it resembles the angles of the stealth bomber and in one of the pictures it also resembles blending in with the landscape...like it could look like an island from afar.

It's odd seeing a ship with no railings or visible mooring equipment (capstan, cleats, etc). Looks like everything is contained under the top deck and accessed through portholes.
I'm wondering if the crew is allowed anywhere topside while at sea?
Would definitely like to tour the ship and learn more about the day-to-day shite.

If by impressive you mean a total waste of money, I agree.

Hmm. I think it looks awesome.
Terd, agree. Would be cool to take a tour of it. See the areas you would have had butt sex in...

There's a badass book called ghost fleet about this ship set in the future.

It's "too stealthy".

That’s why the United States Navy plans to affix huge reflectors onto the USS Zumwalt to avoid wreaking havoc on local mariners, which makes sense since this ship is about 50 times more stealthy than current destroyers.

Around 140... the previous Arleigh Burke class destroyers are around 300.

No. You explain the cost/benefit of that monster. with the state of warfare, how is that justifiable?
