The U.S. Marshals Service is hunting down a fugitive wanted on new charges of rape, assault, and strangulation after he escaped from a federal prison camp in Oregon.

Andrew Kristovich, 38, escaped FCI Sheridan on April 25 and is accused of traveling to an acquaintance's house, where he allegedly assaulted and raped the person before fleeing with that person's car and other personal items, as reported by KOIN.

quote:

Kristovich was serving a five-year sentence in prison for cartel-linked gun and drug charges, according to FOX 13.

Kristovich’s escape has also raised questions on protocols for notifying the community about escaped prisoners, as he was located at a minimum-security camp at the time.

quote:

One man who lives only a quarter-mile from where Kristovich escaped said he should have been notified as it happened.

"We should’ve known what happened. Somebody broke out of prison and did all this stuff, raped somebody,” the man told KOIN, adding that the prison should hire more help and "make sure people don’t just walk away like that."

It's unclear how exactly Kristovich was able to escape.

Meh......he doesn't have an ugly blonde accomplice with a waddling gait. This story will never gain traction.

The guy was only doing a five year stretch. Seems dumb to break out and get years added. This guy doesn't look like the Andy Dufresne type

The search is over for an escaped Oregon inmate.

According to authorities in Nevada, Andrew Kristovich was found in Carson City, which is about 20 miles south of Reno.

Kristovich escaped from federal prison in McMinnville about a week ago.

Authorities said after he escaped, he traveled to a house in Clark County, Washington, where he allegedly assaulted and raped a person before fleeing with their debit card, cellphone and car.

Nowadays, I have to read an article to know if someone the Feds are looking for is actually dangerous, or they just spoke at a local PTA meeting.

The way things have been going lately they should start by interviewing all of the female guards.

pio was upset that the Waddling Whites were captured so quickly, so he was looking for some other fugitive story to get in to.
