Meanwhile, men are marrying more foreigners. What's the big deal?
1. Women in the U.S. expect their man to have abs, meanwhile she can be a fat slob
2. Women in the U.S. feel entitled and don't know how to treat a good man
3. Men in the U.S. get fed up with the lying, cheating, prescription drug addict whores that we have to choose from in the states
Just a few things I could think of off the top of my head.

Why would I need to get married only for stupid tax breaks which should be done away with?
I get off on her having my name. Its like I own her.
I'm kidding. We love each other and want to raise kids together as a unit. I don't want her to have to work when the children are younger than grade school, I want her to be a full time mom, which she wants to do as well. Big tax breaks, combined inheritance, etc. are just lagniappe.

This is the most jaded view of women in the US I've ever read
And extreme hyperbole. I have a very attractive, hard working, sweet wife...and I don't have abs or a ton of money.
It sounds like something a serial killer would say as he chains up his female victims in his basement.

No, I tell them that this is for their own good.

Many married couples file separately..
The tax break thing is a myth.

With the way our country is going, we should force them to have children.
I'm more concerned with the educated people we have now creating more educated people through science discoveries, inventions, medical advancements, and educating others. When people start families, this kind of stuff sometimes takes a back seat. They're more likely to lock into a 9-5 job and take their true intelligence to the grave.

But when <90 IQ people breed prolifically, the advancements made can't be maintained.

no...no
intelligence is passed on way more through the primary caregiver than educators
the foundation is set within the first couple of years of a child's life

Statistics can really be spun and the original post is a reflection on that.
75% of college educated women are married and the divorce rate is only 20% for that group.
Marriage, like anything else in life, is what you make of it. Those of you saying it is crazy and pointless are largely of the shallow, selfish set for whom marriage is likely fail. If you think it is crazy and pointless then it will be. One inescapable truth of life is that wherever you go you can never escape you.

Ah. It appears the marriage advocates continually attempt to support the institution by resorting to emotional shaming tactics.
"You're selfish"
"You're lazy"
"You're shallow"
"You act like your 14"
Just lol at low IQs.

Hey now, I'm trying to advocate it as a foundational part of a healthy civilization.
