Man there has to be a final solution to this.

But seriously, I see nothing wrong with offering free vasectomies with a cash bonus to people on welfare.

100% voluntary.

Honestly though, we don't need more people.

US citizens reproduce at level below replacement. We actually do need more people considering our economy is built on it.

None of that will ever happen. Because racism and feelings.

Poor white people can be the face of the ad campaign.

Tons of white chicks have accidental babies in HS too. Tons of meth heads have accidental babies.

Marriage is stupid and outdated if you aren't religious.

Its about tax base.

If the people that PAY taxes reproduce, that is great. But as it stands, the people who RECEIVE government aid are the ones reproducing. If that stopped or slowed the needle would tilt in the positive direction without the responsible folks doing anything.

Hence immigration - this is often the explicit motive behind the importation of new folks. The only aging and shrinking population that hasn't done this is Japan.

Is infinite growth possible, desirable, or sustainable?

Thanks, modernism. You are selecting against people who have adapted best to it.

Good luck with that campaign not being tied to minorities.

We need to continue and escalate policies allowing STEM students and employees into our country and giving them an express lane to green cards and citizenship.

That is the good kind of immigration we need.

We will be cloning our biggest and brightest before the actual low birth rates have any real issues.

I have no problem with this kind of immigration - so long as there is a shortage of skilled native labor. Companies (and customers) love those H1B's because they can pay a foreigner less than an American with high expectations for salary in a skilled field.

That will help the proportion, but it will only lessen the overall rate. We basically need 21 children for every 10 child bearing aged women or we're fricked long term.

Probably not, but we probably can't make it under a declining population either.

The problem only grows when you isolate it to specific subsets of society.

TheCaterpillar argues the women to the left need to stop having children. My argument is that the women to the right aren't even replacing themselves.

I think both are valid arguments and both need to happen.

I don't get it.

Why would I need to get married only for stupid tax breaks which should be done away with?

The trend on that graph is pretty surprising and is good news. Fertility increased in those with post-HS education across all levels and decreased for HS grads and dropouts.

We have been raised in a society where a reasonable and sane person says "what the frick this is stupid, no dice", you don't have kids or get married, and so your adjustment and response to the system 'selects' against you in an evolutionary sense.
