You fellas have no idea how many shitholes we've put boots on ground.
This mission has been made public for a reason. Don't get all worked up about 1 in 1000 missions like this.
Personally, I go willingly if I believe I'm helping protect women and children. Liberty, it's worth trying for; it's worth dying for.
Even in countries most of you could give a shite about; regardless of any 'strategic' value.
Re: Obama's Nobel Prize. I read the award itself. I've never understood what they awarded him for........
But since he became President, he has learned the real nature of the world and how America can help or abstain. I don't ever want that job.

Is there a large deposit of oil in Cameroon?
Why would the US need to do anything there?

I agree with this post 100 percent.

And? You go to any one of a dozen shithole warlord dominated countries and you'll see atrocities enough to make your blood boil. You think it's the job of American boys to die to change essentially nothing? You kill one snake and another slithers in to take it's place. It's in the God damn soil. It's in the blood. Some places will never know peace until they are under the power of a supreme force. And frankly, I don't care.
quote: : This group is absolutely a threat to national security. No they aren't, it's a problem strictly local to that area. Yup. And we don't need to meddle and prop up the next terrorists there. Let 'em kill each other off.

By one account, it's 135 countries in 2015, or roughly 70% of the world: LINK

There will always be death.
Destruction.
Murder. Rape.
It's built into our DNA.
We stand on the shoulders of killers.
Every society does. Removing one group makes way for the next.
We are a brutal species.
Look at history. The peaceniks don't make an impact. Our history is defined through fire and sword.
The generous historians may play down the brutality of man, but the real history of conquest runs red in rivers of blood.
Either go in for the kill, or don't bother.

Macphisto, there you go. Much closer to the truth.
One more step, can you find it?

Well, let's look at the strategically. Cameroon is next-door to Nigeria Africa's largest economy, supplier of oil and population. West Africa has become strategic in the US versus China race for Raw materials and some will argue has a huge strategic value. Read up on AFRICOM and the base we're hoping to build in west Africa.

Look! Someone who gets it!

Mr Obama said the forces would remain in Cameroon until "no longer needed".
So a permanent base in Cameroon. Got it.

Its so sad when an effeminate man tries to look tough.
Russia isn't defeating the JV team at all

I'm sure we have a nuke lying around somewhere. We should use it

1 american soldier lost isn't worth that whole shithole country.
If you're gonna go to war, grab your sack and go to war. don't pussyfoot around and send some token force to get overwhelmed. Go in guns blazing and with all the stops pulled out and leave nothing standing or don't go at all.
It's like we learn nothing from history.
sending Green Berets to do their jobs, and support units isn't going to war.

Sub-Saharan Africa is like the ME. Those folks have been killing each other for centuries, nothing we do is going to change that.
You know, kinda like Chicago.

Dude. You have no idea what you're talking about. Read the economist for a minute. Sub Saharan Africa has had some of the highest growth rates over the last 2 decades. Wars there have declined and the resource boom has really helped those countries. It's really nothing close to being like the Middle East.
Posted on 10/15/15 at 9:38 am to RedRifle
So, Boko Haram and Al Shabaab are JV too. Right?

What's next Barry? Holding a 9mm sideways while you sneer at the camera? Just be the pussy you really are. At least it would be honest.
Yeah! Only REAL men like W get us involved in utterly pointless, decade-long, staggeringly costly and deadly wars! Grow a set, O'BUMMER!

Sheesh, nothing can bring out the douche in people like politics can.
