Will it be closer to 5,000 or 50,000? Or are some still sticking with 500k?

I predict it will be closer to 5,000. Hope I am right.

I'm going to go with something like 5-10k, but with a lot of those numbers being tallied well after the fact and after the peak of the crisis.

Depends on how many otherwise healthy people rush to the ER in a panic, consuming health care resources and exposing themselves to sick people.

Where are we currently, close to one hundred? Given your two choices, we'll finish far closer to 5,000. Frankly, I'll be surprised if we hit 1,000.

But I haven't stayed at a Holiday inn in quite some time.

I think it will depend on how quickly it can surge. If it can overpower our hospitals, that could lead to a spike. Not so much from the average person, but from those who have underlying health conditions that will have to visit hospitals for regular care.

Imagine going in for cancer treatments and having to dodge a bunch of corona folk.

There’s less than 5000 worldwide right now. Are you expecting the death rate to increase with improved information and precautions?

Over a long enough timeline the survival rate of everyone drops to zero.
