Lake Tahoe.

I'd have a place there for sure.

Metairie. I'd stay in my current house like Warren Buffet and trick everyone into thinking I wasn't a billionaire

Any city honestly. There ain't any billionaires anymore but there's enough millionaires that it used to be one of the richest areas in the country and had a population less than 50k. They all live near each other in their exclusive neiborhoods but once they leave, they all look like normal. They don't live extravagantly mostly. You could meet them at the bar and you'd never know.

I agree with you, but you would need to distance yourself from your hometown. It's sort of like committing murder. You can't be the new person hiding in the small town, you need to drop into a city that doesn't GAF about you unless you are in their way.

There are only about 500 people in the U.S. with a net worth of a billion dollars or more, and not you would be among the elite of the elite in NYC

Mistake on their part. King County is the Seattle area.

I'd have a place on Mercer island. Just one of many in the west I'd have.

Memphis, TN or Jackson, MS. I think the majority of the citizens would be quite receptive and generally happy for me

Baton Rouge has at least one Billionaire. Guarantee none of you know who it is. So I'd go with BR.

Too small....and a lot of the posters here probably have family in SoLa.

NYC for a home base is the best answer if you don't already live there.

Home base would be somewhere fairly remote yet close enough to be by a major airport.

From there a home in either Santa Barbara, Malibu, Santa Monica or Orange.

Swiss Alps

And another vacation home somewhere in the US.

May also get a cold weather home in New England for Christmas.

Each home would be about 5 million except Swiss Alps I'd pay 10-15.

I'd still have a billion left so who cares.

San Francisco. You'd be middle class.
