Florida? How would you hold off the eventual zombie apocalypse that you know will start there (if it hasn't already)? It would take a lot of convincing for me to move there. Everyday I read one more Florida story and I remind myself to never move there.

Gulf side, south. Find a small cove and live on the water with my boat

Privately owned aircraft are a PITA. Ballers now use Wheels Up for travel and occasional use.

I debated on having a private jet or just renting when dreaming about winning the lottery. I think with $500-$600M in the bank I'm going private jet.

I figure I'm going to travel a lot to the point it would almost be like a second home. I'm a big fan of having "my stuff" around me, so renting a different jet every week would be less than ideal. I want "my jet" with "my stuff" in it for comfort. A bed that only I sleep in. A TV set to my preferences with my personal video games and media devices. So on and so forth.

I think I would travel too much to want to have multiple homes, so I would probably be spending more time in my jet than I would in a 4th or 5th home. So my splurges would be a main base (probably luxury place in NYC), a secondary base (thinking Italy somewhere, probably Tuscany with a vineyard) and a jet. I love the US, but would probably spend most of my time touring Europe at first. Then branching out to Australia and Japan. I can't imagine how incredible that life would be.

Pittsburgh is a great place to live with 1B. You can buy a big house for pretty cheap (compared to other Northeast cities) and then invest in the rapidly growing real estate market. I'd buy the entire North Side and make it a miniature Boston
