You completely missed the entire point of my post. It's not simply the economic downswing. It's being told by half the country that you're not only evil and racist for something you had no choice in (the color of your skin), but that life is easier for you than it is for millionaire black athletes, politicians and celebrities. This kind of critical race nonsense is poisonous. It promotes white rage and resentment, especially those working class whites who are struggling to get by.
