Nope, was referring to globalization. But it's ok because I give. You're right and I'm wrong. I have seen the light. I shall eagerly sit and wait as my CFO leads me to the land of milk and honey. They tell me it's just after next quarter.

So you gave absolutely nothing? I asked for your reasoning to maybe learn something, but it's just because the boss man doesn't care, huh?

No pay raise for you this year, half the floor is being laid off, and guess who has to pick up the slack.

A report just came out this week, there's more jobs than unemployed. Big time workers market right now. No raise, get a new job, everyone is hiring, but you may have to leave your precious union.

NO driver wants AC during the summer. You are getting in and out of the vehicle 150 times a day. That much temperature change throughout the day will make you sick...as in fall out. Give me a fan over the AC any and all days of the week.

Gee, the fed ex drivers look happy as shite getting out of that sprinter every time I see them.

Why don’t more fed ex drivers “fall out” from that cold AC? Strange theory bro.

No I give because we're not getting anywhere. I wouldn't have responded in the 1st place but I was grumpy and you calling me a fricking idiot pissed me off.

Globalization has allowed the outsourcing of labor. Which killed manufacturing and its not coming back until there's a global reset. Why pay an old baw a living wage when you can force some 3rd world Asian to do it for pennies? Thus less bargaining power for the baw here at home.

All of this stuff is as old as time itself. It'll get worse until people have finally had enough and decide they can do better on their own than what government/business is allowing and kill them off and start the cycle over. That's why I really don't care if it hurts the company, which I don't think it does largely at any rate. They're not going to pass any savings or benefit along to the worker. It may allow them to hire more cheap labor, but what good does that do? It's a losing game in the end because no system is sustainable due to humans being humans. So let the boys get what they can and maybe have a chance at living an enjoyable life while they can. And not be made miserable by the whims of some MBA who couldn't care less about him. Probably the union president doesn't care about him either, but at least he's a speedbump in stopping the company from stramrolling the guy when it benefits the bottom line.

Don't stay stupid shite and I won't call you stupid.

And? Why should a company have to pay for inefficient labor just because that's how it's always been? The worker has a responsibility to have a marketable skill.

Just like they wouldn't pass tax savings to workers and then gave bonus checks.

Written like an entitled union worker that doesn't bring anything to the table, but feels entitled to continue to get raises while not bringing anything else to the table.

What kind of jobs are they, and what do they pay?

Plus, that 220k odd jobs they said were added, that number is a little inflated.

Are they jobs worth having?

Older article from last year but demonstrates that all these "new jobs" are just PR and smoke and mirrors. So Walmart opens 5000 new positions. Great. So that's 5000 more underemployed workers that Walmart will encourage to also seek government benefits since they pay them so little. And force to work off the clock so they don't have to pay OT to them.

Most all industries are hiring right now. Construction, transportation and banking are three examples that are a ton.

Unemployment is still really low. It's a labor market right now. That's really irrelevant to the overall point.

Decent Michigan St study below.

I also read articles daily in the WSJ so they're out there and not hard to find.

Ok genius, like I said, you're right. Not sure why I bothered to respond again. You almost sounded contrite for a moment. Silly me.

Yes, entitled employees. That's always the problem. Let's just let the companies operate with free reign and see how that works out. It's really shown promising results in the banking industry already, I'm sure you'll agree. I can see the free market benefits dripping from the bailout money still.

Not always, but let's speak in absolutes.

Irresponsible lending practices and hiring and retaining workers aren't the same thing at all, but ok.

It's like you don't realize that you have a smartphone to look up or share information instantly or an automobile to be able to drive outside your homestead. This isn't the guided age dude, companies can't get away with shite.

Even though the college labor market remains strong, only 39 percent of employers said they would increase salaries, averaging 4.1 percent. Sixty-one percent reported salaries would stay the same. However, the number of employers offering signing bonuses nearly doubled.

From your own source.

Inflation rate is 1.9% this year. So yay, 2.2% raises all around. Well if you're in the 3rd that didn't get told no raise for you.

This is only regarding college grads, they're talking stsrtung salary. Like I said there's articles all over the place regarding hiring management levels as well.

It's the same goal, chasing the bottom line. One market goes after it with derivatives. One goes after it by driving down employee costs. Same principle.

You're purposely missing the point about the quality of the jobs.
