The OT casuals are pretty flexible when they decide to twist their own panties.

No, that was mockery.

Why should they, when they can organize and collectively bargain for better working conditions?

It's as American as apple pie.

I have no idea whether they were adequately compensated before or not.

I worked for UPS from 2008-2011 both as a pre-loader and as a driver, though not for long in the driver position. I still talk to the guys up there from time to time, they told me the top out pay for delivery drivers is $42/hour.

No, it wasn't. You really believe what you wrote. And you've yet to answer. Do you willingly give part of your paycheck to a union master?

The union just got them $49hr.

UPS would have only been hurting themselves if they did strike

I don't, but who wouldn't if it meant you brought home more money at the end of the week?

When I was in college I worked part time for UPS. At that time you had to pass a literacy/math test, drug test , and no accidents on your record.

I unloaded those damn pup trailers for a month before I was promoted to 'locate the package'.
At that time ,believe it or not , people would ship a package with just a name and a city, no street address. So daily I would have a pile of boxes that I used the city directory in order to get them to where they needed to go.
Just about everyone who works at UPS deserves a raise, it is hot, boring work. I would have stayed after graduating but I found the work boring and repetitive.

The part timers don't deliver packages so I doubt they leave anything on the side of the road. By all means though go apply.
