It was created by some single mom. There's a link on her FB page asking for money.

My name is Rochelle, and I’m a single mother in Louisiana trying to keep my home stable after months of unexpected hardship. I’m creating this fundraiser because I’ve reached a moment where I cannot carry everything alone, and I need temporary support to get through this emergency period while I rebuild.

Six months ago, I was wrongfully terminated from my job after taking a medically-necessary leave. I spent months applying, interviewing, and trying to rebuild stability for my children. Two weeks ago, I finally found a new job and felt hopeful again.

But everything changed overnight.

I was out of work for a week due to COVID. When I returned — on my very first day back — I received devastating news about my son. He became involved in a serious legal situation, and I had to leave work immediately to respond. As a mother, I had no choice. My child needed me.

I have not attended any court dates or meetings yet — I’m still in the early stages of understanding what’s happening and preparing for what comes next. My son is currently being held an hour away from home, and I want to be able to visit him and support him in person when my finances allow. The emotional shock and immediate need to be present for him caused me to miss work again.

Because of the combination of my COVID absence and the emergency with my son, my employer decided to terminate my position — just two weeks after hiring me.

Losing a job again, in the middle of a crisis with my son, has put me in an extremely difficult position financially and emotionally.

Right now, I am facing:

• A sudden loss of income

• A legal crisis with my son that requires time, communication, and preparation

• Travel expenses to visit my son, who is being held an hour away

• A short-term financial gap that is making it hard to keep my home stable

I am asking for help with:

• Covering basic household needs while I search for new employment

• Supporting transportation and communication related to my son’s upcoming legal process

• Allowing me to visit my son and be present for him during this difficult time

• Keeping my home stable for my children while I navigate this crisis

I am not asking for long-term support — just enough to get through this emergency period while I secure new employment and continue advocating for my son.

I am a mother who shows up. I am a woman who keeps trying no matter how heavy life gets. I am doing everything I can to rebuild, but right now I need help to keep my home steady and my children supported.

Any donation, no matter the amount, will help us breathe, stay steady, and get through this storm.

Thank you for seeing me, for supporting my family, and for helping us through this difficult moment.

With love,

Rochelle

This girl isn't a freshman at LSU. She looks at least 30 years old. :lol

This is a political statement the exact opposite of what everyone is saying. She is as far left as it can go. She is saying that white people are dragging around blacks in society.

If true, this is gonna be a great lesson for her.

How do you get fired two weeks after being hired? Just not show up?

Also, son's legal situation? You mean he's in county. What'd he do?

I didn't think companies had to give 2 weeks' notice to fire someone.
