Two reasons I’d never have a car worth much

I’m poor, and people can’t drive for shite. Mostly the first reason though

Granted he lost his buddy in the Walmart accident, so I feel for the guy.

But he was on Stern recently and made a joke about his wife spending his accident money, or was looking for more accident money, or something to that nature.

In the context of the conversation it was an attempt at a joke, but still...

So $16/mile in tire usage? It would cost me $992 a day in tire usage just to drive to work and back each day.

Good news, though. Your entire commute there and back now only takes 15 minutes.

Bad news, though. The tires need to be replaced after 2,500 miles at normal speeds. At the speeds in your commute, the tires have to be replaced after 15 minutes.

Good news, though! At those speeds, you only have enough gas to go 8 minutes.

In no way is the Veyron designed to be practical. It was designed to prove that a production car could be built that would do 250 mph. The Chiron is designed to be even faster but more practical. For instance, the tires on the Chiron are ultra high performance existing production tires using standard geometries and mounting, so they're not of the "call Michelin and let them know they need to make you four tires" variety, so they're much cheaper. The Chiron's wheels use standard mounting and are a lifetime part, so they don't have to be replaced every other set of tires or need to be shipped to France to get tires changed.

Super cars are worthless after an accident. He just lost like 70% of the value of that car.

Traffic on 42nd St rarely moves at more than a snails pace. Particularly during the day.

And, I carry my wallet on my right hip, Tracy must be left-handed.

Is that dude really rich enough for a Bugatti? What are the odds we hear Ed McMahon-style sob stories in 10 or 15 years?

Why did that accident lead to an ambulance ride?

Probably low. He was on a network TV show for 7 years, has a TV show on air right now, makes good money doing standup, and has whatever Walmart paid out(which probably wasn't a small amount). A Bugatti costs basically what he made for one season of 30 Rock. It ain't a smart investment but I doubt it comes close to breaking him.

Quite the opposite. They are practically rebuilt like new. They don’t repair parts they replace. If it’s just scratched it will get a brand new factory job over the entire car. Check out the before and after and then sale price from mr. beans mclaren

cost as much as his total pay for the latest season. Before agents, manager and Uncle Sam. He hasn’t really made much outside 30 rock. The only unknown is the Walmart settlement. Otherwise that car is way too much. I’m still thinking lease

Accident shows up on any car report and it kills the value to collectors. Ferrari, Porsche, Bentley, Rolls, McLaren, etc. it doesn’t matter.

He has a show right now on TBS. He had a Netflix standup special and they just throw famous comedians money for those. Tracy ain't getting Rock or Chappelle standup money but probably a pretty penny.

It's a pretty stupid idea for anybody.

Except for the guy in BR (Dan Heard) that paid $1mm for his McLaren 20 years ago now it's worth $15mm+. Or his Enzo that he paid $650k for but is now worth $2mm or his $1.5 mm Pagani that is now worth $2mm+. There are certain cars that go up and the Bugatti is one.

Your state minimum coverage from the General is going to pay the owner of the Bugatti $25,000 and that will pay for one turning signal lens cover.

Then you might be screwed.

If I were the owner of that Bugatti, though, I'd have had enough uninsured and underinsured motorist insurance on that car to cover for the poors and their shitty driving.

Or your collision coverage handles it and you let your insurance company get that $25k from the other company later.

There is no way that someone with that car wouldn’t have comp/collision so UMPD wouldn’t be offered, or even apply.

ETA Again, normally on a car like that you wouldn’t have standard coverage like you would on the 2004 RAV4 your mom gave you. You’d have one deductible for any/all losses and have stated value coverage. Maybe even build in protection for diminished value should it be involved in a wreck.

Won't hurt a bugatti too much as they are so limited. You wreck a 911 turbo or a 458 or a Phantom yes. But cars that are iconic and limited to a couple hundred not so much. Mr. Bean totaled his McLaren f1 like 2 or 3 times and it still sold for like $12mm.
