I remember the original post... Mainly because I generally make sure my posts are insulting and condescending as I can manage.

But your situation, and something your child said in the moment, caused me to pause.

I wish you only the best, and may sorrow never darken your door again.

Great news, man. Congrats and good luck moving forward.

Thanks for keeping us posted on your progress. I do think about you and your situation from time to time. Just keep your head up and keep on keeping on…and it sounds like that’s what you’re doing. Good job.

Unfortunately, unlike most people, I know exactly how you feel. My wife passed away two months ago, leaving myself and quite a few school age and teenaged children. It’s tough. I’m happy for you pressing on-that’s all we can do. Completely invest in our kids and pray every day that we can be reunited one day. One day at a time for me at this point.

Please continue to give us updates. We will continue to send up prayers for your family. It is truly inspirational and encouraging to hear that people are doing well when they overcome adversity.

***Grief counseling or support groups could be a great help when struggling because no one knows what it truly feels like except those that have gone through it also

I’m not religious but that was very moving.

Sorry for your loss, but know your family has a strong father behind it.

Praying for God’s blessings on you and your kids. They have a dad with the right heart to overcome this tragedy.

So happy for your update. I went through a big loss around the same time and your original post made me feel less alone. What a sh*tty club to be in, I know. Happy for you and the kids. We absolutely don’t move on, but forward and I am glad you are seeing a light in this darkness. Continued hope for you and your family to enjoy life while honoring her memory.

If you downvoted this man, then shame on you!

Sir, keep your head up! Receive Fathers love and guidance! Love and cherish your children! Be the Father that they need, but don’t reject the woman the Lord sends you to help love and raise those children!

You're a better man than I am OP.

Sorry for your loss OP. You sound like a great dad though and you and kids I believe will be alright in the end. Keep the faith with you always.

Good on you

My younger brother lost the mother to his three kids 5 years ago when they were ages 10 (twins) and 5

he’s never had it easy since then but manages to pull through day by day for his kids.

it really does suck for the kids though not having that motherly figure in their lives constantly

hope nothing but the best for you and your kids, sounds like your doing a hell of a job
