Looks sharp. Glad it worked out well for you.

Get a couple of thick spring bars and some nice NATOs when you want to sport it up
And get decent tools to change it out quickly. Also, practice so you don't scratch it up. What is that replacement Crystal made of? I assume the original was mineral? Something nice and cushy to lay the watch face down on.
Patience and a cup of coffee to change your strap and clean it.
Vereat watch cleaner works well.

It's kind of a bitch getting the spring bars out. Almost gave up last night, but I pulled up a thread on watchuseek about using dental floss... worked like a charm and you don't scratch the case.
This is more or less the deployment clasp that I got. I'll give it another shot.

Looks great on the tan strap. You've done really well for yourself.
NATO's are also fun to play with for a less formal look. You can swap them out for sports events, match your clothes or car or whatever. I like the selection and prices from this place in Sweden. Cheapest NATO straps
The owner isn't hard to look at, either.

Great looking restoration and a fine tribute to your Dad.

my wife gave me an Omega Seamaster , in 1957, for our 1st wedding anniversary. Still have it, but quit wearing it when I acquired a cell phone. Went thru 3 0r 4 bands

Your watch looks great on the brown gator strap. I would't bother with a bracelet or clasp.

That is a beautiful watch. I am slowly but surely moving towards a gorgeous vintage Rolex. Nothing beats that classic and timeless look.

Seatime 1gen 9/10 condition value?

So read thru this thread, and made me wonder what are the top 5 or so "holy grail" of omega collectors from this time period seamasters?

I know some people don’t like it restored but that watch is awesome.
I would be proud to wear it.
Vintage classic style beats new everytime.

Agree. Looks great and I too would wear that proudly.

That watchmaker probably had the biggest boner when you first showed him that watch and explained what all you wanted done to it.
